I always right-click and view them in wordpad. Double-clicking never works because the Windows default is to run them as a program or something.

On that note, sorry for the delay in updates. My work on the new site backend and my NFL fantasy draft this weekend have taken all my free time away from me. That and the Broncos-Colts game last night.

The Broncos looked great against the Colts yesterday. Don't say I didn't warn you, but Denver might end up having one of the best D-lines in the league this year with all those former Browns players. Is it just me, or isn't it great to see Peyton Manning get sacked for a loss and then yell about it on the sidelines for the rest of the game?

Good game. Bledsoe showed that he can still rifle the ball and run when he needs to. A few of his passes were underthrown though - short passes at that.

Hasselbeck looked decent except for that interception which was a poor decision on the run. He had two guys open right in front of him. Here's hoping he has a GREAT season though! (he's my starting QB on my fantasy team)

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Things have slowed down, but we're definitely still hard at work.

Coming this week:

- The first of a few new articles on the web site
- The second issue of the newsletter
- A new screenshot or two (time permitting)

As of late I'm working on a new backend for the web site: A way to make the site more interactive and allow for quicker and more frequent updates. (Did someone say wiki?)

Don't know much about Brad May other than he was on the Canucks last season. Could be a decent addition along with Turgeon after Forsberg's departure (sniff).

There are no black borders (beyond the few lines in Moth3r's original). You have the full 360 lines of picture that all other anamorphic transfers will have.

You're right. It does look pretty darn good.

Going back to what I said before though (and this is more of an FYI thing), your video resolution doesn't have to be 360 lines. Most of the other anamorphic transfers have more than that. The official DVD, for example, has a 720x365 viewable area. To keep the same aspect ratio you have in your screenshots, you could easily resize your video to 720x368 instead of 704x360. This would not only result in a little bit less quality loss from Moth3r's 432-line original, but would completely eliminate the side borders altogether. Just a thought...

I've been an Avs fan since they moved from Quebec. It's hard to see some of the great players like Forsberg and Kariya leave, but I'm actually more excited to see that they've managed to restructure the players' salaries and make the league more competetive.

I'm also excited about the new rules. Seeing shootouts again is going to be awesome -- especially in the playoffs! Can you imagine the Stanley Cup Finals next June coming down to a shootout in game 7?

More than anything, I'll just be happy to see some damn pro hockey games again. My two main sports are football and hockey, and I've been going crazy ever since February without hockey around.
