Thanks for taking this project on mario! I know there are a lot of people out there, including myself, that would love to see this happen. And you can bet a lot of fan editors would love to add these to their DVD thanks to you.
As for a font, I think something plain like the regular subs would be funny enough. Almost like no thought was put into it at all, much like most of the sub dialogue itself.

Obviously the rendering times would be rather large, but I certainly find it more user friendly than Premiere.
If you just want to cut shots together and resync audio, I find Premiere to be a much easier tool to use. But After Effects is great for doing everything else. Even the video transitions are better quality. I usually do all my DVD menus in After Effects.
TFN, and the Jedi Council forum in particular was a much better place 7 years ago when it was the first message board I ever registered for. It was a lot more civil and not as overcrowded with arrogant pre-teens and their adult counterparts. I still pop in there from time to time, but it's just not the same anymore. I used to get into heavy debates in the TPM and PSA forums back in the day, but such discussions are almost non-existant anymore, and I've grown tired of participating in them anyway. I do still frequent my Denver Fan Force board there however. Some my friends in that group I've known since the TPM days.
