PS3 or Wii?
Time
Actually, my brother and I got pretty frustrated with baseball because we could barely hit off each other. We played I don't know how many games and nobody ever scored. I think boxing, tennis, and bowling were my favorites. I even had my mom over to play a game or two of bowling. She hasn't played a video game since pac-man but she picked it up right away. It amazed me that you could actually curve your ball by tilting the controller. Crazy.

** The OCPMovie News & Releases Megathread **
Time
The Star Wars Classic 2.0 thread has been locked. Knowing what I know about what goes on at this site, and what the moderators pretend doesn't go on at this site, it's an act of hypocrisy which makes me roll my eyes. I'd complain, but what's the point?

....

I feel no need whatsoever to defend any of my actions.
Well the last person found to be selling DVDs was banned without warning, so I guess this would be considered hypocrisy since you're still here. If anyone feels this should have been handled differently, or knows of anyone else selling DVDs, I'd love to hear about it.

Anyway.

Good luck in LA.

Can we drop the petty argument crap please? Chill out guys.

I got a Wii on Sunday and I really couldn't be happier. I bought Zelda and Red Steel, but I ended up playing Wii Sports all morning when I brought it home. That game is so damn fun. I woke up this morning and my arms were sore. I guess I was pitching too hard in the baseball game. I gotta play this thing more often, it's a pretty good workout.

The Most Needlessly Melodramticly-titled Thread Ever

There will be a time when you'll look back on this thread Sean and laugh at what you posted.

People come to this site for fan edits? Is that so. I wonder what people go to the other site for. It must be that off topic board. (Kinda weird how that worked out huh?)

There's a difference between being online and posting every bit of crap that pops into one's head. Just because I don't have 2000 posts doesn't mean I'm not here everyday. But who am I kidding, you're not reading this, you're gone already.

Chronicles of Narnia (The movie) striking similarities with The Lord of the Rings (the movie)(s)

How long was LWW? Less than 100 pages? It's not like they had much detail to work with in the first place. There were no appendicies or pages of background information on every subject as Tolkien did for his books.

I didn't really feel like I was watching a LOTR ripoff when I saw it. There's only so many ways you can shoot a massive ground battle and make it look exciting and epic.

Star Wars In 3D

Star Wars will be in 3D, they just have to wait for more theaters to adopt digital projection to make it worth the cost of doing it. Yeah, um, that's exactly what I just said genius.

The 3D glasses looked like some nerdy style glasses. I appears like there are two lenses in each eye, I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow... it is a completely different kind of 3D. Nothing 'pops' out. Instead it is layered. It is as if the scenery is in the back while a hill could be closer and a person walking would be out front. It is like your perspective if you were looking at it in real life. It is cool.
Well that already sounds way better than the IMAX 3D which I believe is just the traditional 3D approach with certain things that pop out. Though some of the scenes from Superman Returns were still pretty impressive. I heard some crazy things about the glasses in the past like they're super expensive and heavy and theaters are going to lose money because everyone's going to be stealing them. Is any of that even true from what you could tell?

That's awesome that you got to check out the new 3D technology. What were the 3D glasses like? Have you had the chance to see any recent IMAX movies in 3D? If so, how does it compare?

Lucas and McCallum have stated that they want to do all 6 films in 3D (Jackson wants to do all three LOTR movies as well), but it doesn't make sense to start releasing them until there are more theaters with digital projectors, which could take a few years.

STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV in Los Angeles - May 24-28 2007

Well I don't know about an OT.com Celebration, but at every Star Wars Celebration fan groups are able to reserve their own table where you can hand out fliers and spread your shameless geek propaganda to every fat stormtrooper who walks by. If there was enough interest here and enough people willing to volunteer time to sit at the table each day, we could set up an OT.com/FanEdits.com table at Celebration IV. I worked the TFn/Fan Force table at the last two Celebrations and I had a lot of fun meeting people who I'd only ever talked to previously online. I was also given a special volunteer badge which allowed me to get into C3 an hour before it opened (no waiting in line!) and the merch area was also open early to all volunteers and VIPs.

lol, no that's not it. You pay for a 4 day pass, you get in all 4 days. The thing you missed is that the convention is actually a FIVE day event, with the Fan Club-only day being the first day of the con. I believe as long as you sign up for the fan club before mid-April you will be able to get the special Fan Club lanyard when you pick up your entry badge, which will allow you to get in on the first day.

Buy your tickets online for Celebration IV NOW!

According to the site, early registration is $110 for all 4 days. Fan Club members get in Thursday for free (non-FC members will not be admitted Thursday).

If you order between now and Thursday November 2, you will get an email Thursday morning (10AM PST) with details about discount hotel accomodations. Hotels close to the convention center that might say they are already booked for the dates of the con, such as the Figueroa, will have rooms available for those who order their C4 tickets online.

If anybody does this, let us know what hotel reservations you were able to get. I'll do the same.
