Who should Direct the Star Wars VII, VIII, and IX ?
Time

Don't know about episode IX, but my sources with Disney tell me that Michael Bay is set to direct episode 7. We are in for an epic tale of love, CGI and explosions.

Also, Rolland Emmerich is in talks for episode 8. Kinda fitting since there is supposed to be an alien landing in the movie, which is pretty much his area. Also, Boomer the dog will make an appearance as Dewback #7.

Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)

Ok, a little update! DJ put some parts together today as a preview and uploaded it on myspleen.

Though he might remove it or update it later because it came out with a slight chroma shift again since this time it involved more render processes before encoding.

We're currently troubleshooting, but if you grab the preview it will still give you a good idea on the final look of our project.

Watched the preview. Obviously, this is gonna be epic, thanks for your work!

Info & Ideas: ESB and ROTJ Wishlist

In which some guy does a total ROTJ rewrite: http://disgruntledindividual.blogspot.com/2012/10/opinion-reconstructing-star-wars.html

Unfortunately, this isn't actually feasible for a fanedit.

Thank you for sharing this, it was a terrific read. It gives a very good idea of how the movie could have looked like if Kurz stayed on board.

And it also proves that the series could have had an awesome ending even when they decided to trash the sequel trilogy idea.

Star Wars movie prints WOULD benefit from this...can you hear me Mr. Lucas...

Absolutely, but you can do so much more. Go to the streets and spread the truth there. And, if possible, stay there :P

I think the newcomers here will get the idea with or without you.

People should stop focusing on my hyperbole and attack Lucas. What he did with the SE is unique and should not be done by anyone to a classic film.

To put it in perspective, did Orson Welles ever digitally insert the Beatles on the 25th anniversary rerelease of Citizen Kane, and insisted that it was his intention all the time back in 1941? Or did Alfred Hitchcock update the opening credits to Vertigo with 1990s CGI because it fit more with his vision in 1958, but was crushed by the lack of technological achievement back then? Or did Coppola withdraw the Godfather 30 years after its release, and replace it with a version which recasts all the main characters with the cast of the OC? The answer is no, and it is not a sign of mental illness to want the classic films preserved.

The problem is that you are only repeating yourself. We get it and if we take out the deranged obsession, most of us feel the same, but what do you do to help this cause except for endless whining on some forum?

Was George Lucas a trickster the whole time?
Time

Actually, he did exactly that. You see at all dates back to the 1960s when JF Kennedy was killed, when this idea occured to George Lucas. He was so inspired by the nationwide despair that he wanted his opus magnum to be at least equally disapointing. While you all are made to see the original trilogy and his earlier movies as George's idea of art, his artistical crusade is still going on with this slow and painful process of destroying what everybody loved which would inevitably lead to a New World Order (similarily named SW book series are a clue supporting this). That is where the big pharmaceutical companies come to the picture. They are using the Prequel Trilogy to brainwash us. It is no big secret that most of the PT CGI was funded by the guy who invented aspirin. If you want to prevent jihaad and save all that you hold dear, you will listen to generalfrievous, because he got it right.

Gotta go, I think they are after me.

Anakin should deliver some lines by Tommy Wiseau, the acting is performance and I believe lines such as "So anyway, how's your sexlife?" or "They're using me and I'm the fool." should fit in nicely ;)

I just bought The Room last week...haven't decided where to put Tommy yet, however.  Dexter Jettser, maybe?

Oh hai, Obi wan!

I was thinking more like:

I hate sand, blahblahblah... so anyway, how's your sex life.

or

It's all Obi-Wan's fault! They're using me and I'm the fool.
