“I’m 12 and these things are hilarious.”
“I’m 12 and these things are hilarious.”
Wow. Things got so nuts here that I almost forgot this before bed.

We meet the sick stego, and more importantly, Muldoon! He does replace Dr. Harding in this, which makes me sad because he’s actually connected to The Lost World: Jurassic Park (through his daughter Sarah). Also, Nedry begins his plan as Grant and Malcolm voice their suspicions.
Obviously an anime-loving Millennial who still thinks 4chan and “dank memes” are cool.
Mmm, this is gonna be some gooood banhammer.
OK. I have no idea what I’m talking about by the way; I just saw the word “meds” and felt the need to throw that in.
Hey, it’s all good. Your caution and care is warranted. I’m no medical genius or anything, I just happen to have experience with this specific issue.
“I threw that shit before I walked in the room!” is one of my favourite movie quotes of all time.
I know, but I’ve seen too many people get hooked on prescription medication.
Opioids are generally pretty different to, say, an SSRI. Specifically in that SSRIs are not addictive.
More meds isn’t going to solve the problem.
Meds can be helpful but won’t get the root of the problem.
That’s why he’s also going to therapy regularly.
Jokes about the Porsche 911 and the North American emergency line are still acceptable, however.
This smells like a filthy Millennial…
You’re kicking ass, man. Just because your worst thing isn’t as objectively bad as a different person’s worst thing doesn’t mean yours isn’t bad. But you’re doing well. You’re making an effort, and that’s what matters.
Sure, no one thing will ever be a cure-all, but they’ll all work together with you as parts of a larger containment and coping strategy.
It truly is the future.
Superman '78 comes instantly to mind. Aside from the Smallville scenes and Reeve’s performance whenever he’s not wearing glasses, I utterly despise the entire movie.
I almost feel the same way about Superman II, but Terence Stamp’s hammy performance elevates it to tolerable levels.
Both films are really good but the first is a classic almost on par with the first two Star Wars films and Raiders so 🌍🌎🌏🔄🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞🕓🕟🕔🕠🕕🕡🕖🕢🕗🕣🕘🕤🕙🕥🕚🕦🕚
Is that an obscure “As The World Turns” reference in emoticons?

Fast raps are real.
I thought this was a “How words have changed meaning over time” discussion thread?
The only good thing about AoTC was Jango Fett.
I agree. Unfortunately, Jango also came with the ruination of Boba.
This is obviously a thread with very subjective opinions. Just because most people like chocolate doesn’t mean everyone does or should.
I was watching John Oliver last night and he described Neapolitan Ice Cream as perfect for everyone. Chocolate for most of us, Vanilla for the boring ones, and Strawberry for the perverts.
Guess that makes me boring.
As someone who has lost loved ones to Cancer (not Ebola yet but anything can happen) it’s a poor choice of words however like the equally incendiary uses of the word rape it is valid within the English language.
Both may be valid but I don’t think either is appropriate.
I think it’s a cultural thing because both words in their original use are still in parlance in the UK but in the USA I think rape is exclusively associated with sexual rape and cancer is exclusively associated with the disease. I’ve explained that in the UK the words Spastic and Spaz are shockingly offensive. Rape still evokes sexual rape when used in the UK but it’s original meaning “to spoil or contaminate” is still very common. Cancer however is either a disease or a star sign. We would more likely use the more archaic Canker or Cankerous instead of the context of the thread title.
Interesting. I always enjoy etymology and how the meaning of words changes over time.

Nedry’s Delimma, the Anne B, a no-show Rex, and we move on towards the stegosaurus as the storm builds.
Looks like the sick animal will be a stego again, like the book, considering we passed the triceratops already. I’m wondering if Harding has become Muldoon this time?
I also realized that we had no scene establishing Nedry’s relationship with BioSyn in this draft, unlike both the book and the film. Crazy! I see how it makes sense to preserve the reveal, but I prefer knowing about it. There’s something about Jurassic Park where you understand how Malcolm’s Chaos Theory predicts the collapse of the park (and a lot of this is delivered on the pages as you see the iterations become more complex).
Maybe as your brain is a component of your body getting your body tired gets your brain too tired to obsess too much. Since taking on my current role involves a lot of travel and planning I don’t have enough time or energy to ruminate too deeply on my domestic situation so I actually have a more positive outlook these days. Try sneaking more physical activity into your work day and see if that tires you physically enough to get a good evening in. Just taking the stairs where possible could make the difference.
Bingo keeps stealing my posts.

Yay!
More like Toy Story POO.
I’m so glad Gawker Media is filing for chapter 11.
Hopefully the decent people there can find a new niche while the rest of them disappear forever.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010) - 4/10
It really doesn’t hold up as well as it did when I was nine. The main character is an unlikable prick and it looks like a made-for-TV production.
The thought of someone being nine years old in 2010 reminds me of how I’m elderly person.
Ugh tell me about it. I was pretty sure people stopped being born around 1992.
