I'd often thought of suggesting Mega several times over the past few  months but never did as it seemed you were content with the services you were currently using.  With that said... is there really a need to utilize a paid account for hosting?  Registering for a Free account provides the end user with 50gb of storage space.  All that's required is a valid e-mail address (which can easily be created on an ongoing basis), and links can be shared indefinitely.  My thought has always been, why not set up anonymous  storage lockers with corresponding e-mail addresses for each project?  So for instance, someone could create NOTLD1990@gmail.com and then register a mega account to it.  That locker could be used to house only the files associated with Night of the Living Dead 90.  Whether you choose to upload one giant .iso file or 45 smaller .rar files is up to the uploader.

In this fashion there is still some control over the projects themselves, and no one has to pay anything.  Each link provided would only link to that specific movie, rather than the complete Team Blu collection, and if someone were to decide to go back and make alterations or new versions, the old files could come down and the new files replace them in one easy to find location.  (Think how much easier it's be to get access to the Original Star Wars Trilogy versions released through this site if instead of making users hunt, they just provided the most up to date release inside their current storage locker and then just announced Version 2.0 is available now).

From my experience using Mega, the downloads are lightning quick and very straightforward.  Personally, I had no problem using uploded.net.  Yes it took me several days to download a project, but in the end the effort was more then worth the reward.  With that said, Mega should more or less eliminate virtually all problems.  You could also offer an incentive for people that want future releases, in that anyone that uploads and shares a project from you could be given access to new projects before anyone else.  Thereby eliminating your need to re-upload if such a situation would arrive.

Whatever you decide I'm happy to hear that you're at least looking into other distribution means, as I refuse to go the newsgroup route, and so that means I've only enjoyed Fright Night II and NOTLD '90 as those were the only 2 projects which I was aware of that had uploaded.net links.

I'm sure it's of little to no use for you, but if you're interested I have a 1080i rip of the film (Maximum Overdrive) I'd be happy to share if you are interested in it.  I recorded it off of Epix HD, so there are a few instances of channel logos which show up for a few seconds, but nothing terribly intrusive and nothing that couldn't be removed I'm sure.  I ripped it using a Haupage Capture Device at maximum bitrate (13mb/sec) to .m2ts format.  It clocks in around 9.4gb.  To be perfectly honest I think it's nothing more than the DVD upscaled, but if you're interested I'd leave that for you to judge.

REVENGE OF THE NERDS (* unfinished project *)
Time

What's the time stamp for this censorship?  I'm trying to check my 720p Download from a while back and the Blu Ray and I must be in the wrong spot, because thus far I haven't found any for Rent signs that are censored.  The only one I know of was the Wooden sign that Lewis carried with him back to the gym, and in neither my 720p rip, nor my Blu ray are censored.  I'm assuming I'm looking in the wrong place, so can someone describe the scene or give me the time code to check myself.

If this was/is the scene then the phone number is 624-7789

EDIT:  I was looking for a blurring of the phone number... didn't realize that a few seconds were actually completely cut and removed.  Still... the phone number above is still accurate and visible in the gym.

Out of curiosity would Team Blue ever work on a 3d preservation project?  Perhaps to a big name horror franchise sequel that has never had an official 3D release, only lousy anaglyph (blue/red) 3d?  Perhaps if said file could be provided to them in ready to go side by side format?  Just curious if you folks have the equipment to enjoy a release like that.

As for the tester disks... Perhaps some sort of online scavenger hunt to answer some riddle you present us with?  Or even a pictionary style drawing/assembly of images where we guess the film/thing being presented.

The Tenant (Polanski, 1976) *BD25 RELEASED*
Time

Just wanted to say thank you for another fine upload.  Believe it or not, I ran into the same problem with the file size fitting onto a Bd25.  Did some research and it seems that different brands of bd burners allocate different amounts of useable space.  From what I gathered the universally accepted maximum for a bd25 is 23.3gb however some burners will allow upwards of the full 25gb.  48.5gb is what is universally accepted for a 50gb bd-r, though again some burners will let you use the full 50gb.

I'm not complaining though, so don't take my comments as insult.  I'll gladly rebuild or remove features on my end if need be to fit my needs.  I'm merely sharing so you know going forward if anyone else questions your projects fitting onto disk you'll know why and have an answer for them.

Thanks again for the work you do.. this is the 3rd project I've gotten from you (Dream Demon being the other).

EXORCIST II THE HERETIC (Blu Ray Version 2.0) (Released)
Time

Initially I thought it may have been my disks available space, but after googling around for some time, most of the data I could find pointed that my disk size was considered normal for a 50gb disk.  I'm glad to finally hear from someone else though that it does fit if you''re a bit lucky.

For what it's worth, removing the French track and the time it took was a very small price to pay for an otherwise stellar package.  I'm very gratefull for the release and really only have 2 negative points to mention in my review thus far... One being the problems getting it burned, the other being an ever so small oversight that doesn't effect the enjoyment of the project in anyway, but is quite glaring.  Namely, when the disk is inserted into my blu Ray player, instead of saying The project title, "The Exorcist II SE" it instead lists "multiavchd-dc...".

I haven't yet had a chance to review the 2 cuts of the films, but I skimmed through the special features and films a bit, watching and listening at sporadic moments and found everything to look and sound quite good.  My hope is to give the disk the full time and energy it deserves this weekend for a more proper review, but at a quick glance I would still HIGHLY RECOMMEND the download to everyone.  I can easily state that we will never get a release with as many quirky extras officially.  Thanks again docsap, it may not please everyone, but so far I'm impressed.

EXORCIST II THE HERETIC (Blu Ray Version 2.0) (Released)
Time

So I was finally able to get this burned late Sunday night, but I'm just getting over the flu from this past weekend so I haven't had a chance to write up a full review of the project  just yet, but thought I'd highlight an important issue.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this project will not fit onto a 50gb bd-r in its current state.  Using imgburn to calculate the file size, with the bd-rom content the project sits at 105% normal capacity.  With the bd-rom content removed it sits at 104% normal capacity, so in order for this disk to work something must go.  I had to rebuild the project after cutting out the French audio track.  With only that language option removed and no other content, I filled 96% of the disk and the project worked.

I hope to have a more thourough review this weekend, but for now, people interested in this project will need to rebuild it without 1 of the audio tracks for it to work.

Help Wanted: 'Splash Too' (2) - a VHS to DVD preservation?
Time

Not trying to beat a dead horse with this post, but this movie is on once again tonight, January 5th 2014.  As before it's on The Hub network in the US, and yes it's in HD.  Tonights showing starts at 7pm cst. Might be the last chance to get an hd transfer if folks are interested.  Personally I couldn't care less, but I noticed it in my guide and wanted to help out those who are interested.

Thanks so much for sharing the link.  The 80's were such a unique time for film making and the Jim Henson productions always have held a very special place in my heart.  I wasn't even aware a work print existed, so I'm definitely happy to watch this recompiled effort to get a since of how different things could have been.

Fright Night Part II 1988 *RELEASED*
Time

I Finally had a chance to watch this last night, and I have a hard time believing there will ever be a better more definitive version of this film released.  Every aspect of the release screams quality/professionalism.

Video:

I don't know where you're sourcing these releases encodes from, but I can't scream loud enough just how good this release looks.   I'd wager that this particular release has a better encode than at least 25% of the retail films I've purchased over the past 7 years.  (And that's over 525 Blu Rays!)  I watched the film on my 60" Samsung Plasma (PN60E7000) and didn't spot a single instance of color banding, compression artifacts, or any of the other telltale signs of a non-official release.  Contrast was nice and punchy but not overblown, Blacks were solid and not muddy or overly murky.  All in all this release rivals that of much of the Scream factory Catalog.

Audio:

I choose to watch the film with the custom 5.1 mix.  It was clear, concise, lively and overall just a great mix.  Dialogue was clear and punchy, the surrounds had a nice light lively feel to them when utilized, and the overall sound field was again commendable considering this is a custom 5.1 mix put together by fans of the film.  All things considered I don't know what more fans could ask for outside of the addition of the extra 2 speakers for a 7.1 mix.  As it stands however, this is simply an outstanding effort.

Supplements:

TeamBlu has put together a Nice little package of extras that while brief, are all welcome additions.  The Addition of the original OOP DVD was a fantastic touch.  The remastered trailers look and sound great, and the fangoria/comic scans are interesting historical looks at the film.

Packaging:

The Cover art design (and inclusion of alternate artwork) has always been a strong suit with TeamBlu and this release is no different.  Choosing to go with the White Cover myself, the design has a nice retro feel to it, while still following the more current favored standards of displaying info (Video/audio/supplements) on the back.  My only complaint with this release is that the font/font size used for the movie synopsis is a bit a the small size, and as such strays from what is often the standard on retail Blu Ray releases.  The text is clear and easy to read, but a quick look at it immediately strikes the viewer with the thought that it indeed is a bit different/off from what we usually are presented with on official releases.  This is not a complaint however, merely an observation.

Lastly, I must again commend the author who is in charge of the Blu Ray Menu system on these releases.  Once again this release simply knocks it out of the park.  Using the simplistic white cover as a background, the menu is thoughtfully layed out, simple to navigate, and as professional as any DVD era menu.  Immediately upon booting up the Disk, background music begins and even transitions to a 2nd track from the film if the user allows the music to play long enough.  These small but appreciated touches are what really take a TeamBLU Release and set them far above most others.

Conclusion:

I can't thank Teamblu enough for taking gems like Fright Night II and giving them the proper releases they deserve.  The hard work and effort shows on every release, and these are truly worthy of an official retail release.  From start to finish the entire experience is a fun and enjoyable one.  I'm thankful to have been given access to this release, and I anxiously look forward to future TeamBlu releases and hope that i can again be blessed with the opportunity of adding them to my collection... (Particularly Pumpkinhead, Jason Goes to Hell Uncut, and the Tales From the Crypt Double Feature).

I was just skimming through my list of all 1080i HD files I have and I just seen I have this listed, now this file is pretty old lol so I am wondering if this would have the BD coloring? hell or if it is even OAR for that matter, I need to get out my storage discs and check, unless someone already knows it is the same coloring as the BD, I also found The Gate!

The Gate rules! I recorded an HD transfer from IFC HD this past halloween, but I haven't gotten it transferred off my DVR yet.  This is one of those films where if it wasn't for fan preservation's, I question whether we'd ever get an official Blu ray release.

Fright Night Part II 1988 *RELEASED*
Time

I've only had a few moments to check the release so far... (My wife gave birth to our first child a week ago, 6 weeks early). But from what I've seen thus far I'm thoroughly impressed.  I always approach each release with a certain amount of trepidation because... "How good can a fan edit be?". I've been blown away each time and this release from what I've seen thus far doesn't disappoint.  Teamblu has knocked another one out of the park.  I'll be sure to post a more thorough review when I can finally watch the film (hopefully this weekend).  Thanks again Dark_Jedi  For pointing me in the direction of the files!

Our Night Of The Living Dead 1990 project (Released)
Time

Thanks to the kind heart of a member I was finally able to check out this release last night.  It's been nearly a month, but I was finally able to finish downloading and able to watch the Film last night.  My wife has been in and out of the hospital over the last month with a difficult pregnancy and my own work schedule cut short my ability to download the files quickly, but I'm happy to have finally finished.  I had high hopes for the project as it sounded like a true labor of love and the film has always been special to me as one of my childhood favorites growing up.

I was simply blown away by what I saw last night.  The film looked amazing and had a level of polish to rival that of a Scream factory release.  The ability to switch between sources was really really cool, and I LOVED the plethora of special features included.  Since I already own the DVD and Twilight Time Blu ray, most features weren't new, but it was nice to have them all in one place.  I really really liked the 2 Team Blu featuretes which presented the side by side comparison of just how dark the Twilight Time release was compared with what you folks put together.  Even my wife found it interesting to see the comparison.  Everything about this project screams passion and love for the source material including the fantastic disk art/packaging designs... (though I still need to find suitable paper stock to print the slipcover).

Thank you Team Blu for sharing with me as this release is without a doubt the definitive release of Night of the Living Dead 1990.  I still have several DL BD-R's left along with a good amount of SL BD-R's as well, hopefully I can help on the most basic level with another project for the site since ya'll were kind enough to share with me.
