He was a big fan of Ben Quadinaros. ;)

I found his new saber sounds quite interesting. The three prong design is still idiotic though.
Sweet the radio dramas AND the Dark Forces trilogy? I'm in!

I know copyright law is good enough to prevent these particular examples, but I've got a horror scenario in my mind where we end up getting Godfather prequels with "Brando" and Casablanca sequels with "Bogart".
Sounds like you've Overdrawn at the Memory Bank....
Their go to man is Stephen Stanton. I think he'd do an excellent job.
Nice. So a bit of news that slipped past everything else coming out of D23:
Later this year they're going to be updating Star Tours with new locations and characters from The Force Awakens.
Well there was a lot of will they won't they but it looks like....
Marvel’s Mockingbird Series Starring Adrianne Palicki Lands ABC Pilot Order
Despite putting a halt on the “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” spinoff, which was proposed earlier this year, ABC is closing in on a deal to order a pilot for a project centered around Mockingbird, Variety has learned exclusively.
Titled “Marvel’s Most Wanted,” the drama will focus on popular “SHIELD” characters Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi Morse (also known as Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. The two actors will topline the pilot and prospective series.
“SHIELD” producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project for Marvel and ABC Studios, co-writing the pilot. They will serve as showrunners and exec producers together with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb also exec producing.
Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, “Marvel’s Most Wanted” will follow the pair and their adventures together.
At this time, ABC has not made any decisions regarding premiere date or a path of introduction, such as introducing the new show as a planted episode during “SHIELD.”
An “Agents of SHIELD” offshoot was originally reported in April, but was soonafter shot down with the network deciding not to move forward. However, during New York Upfronts this spring, ABC president Paul Lee alluded to the possibility of the series being resurrected, teasing, “It certainly is a possibility of spinning them off.”
Lee added that “SHIELD” had hit its creative strive, suggesting that the net didn’t want to mess around with a formula that was working — which includes Palicki and Blood’s storylines. “We absolutely love those characters on ‘SHIELD,'” he said, at the time.
But with “SHIELD” coming back for Season 3, in addition to “Agent Carter” returning for Season 2, there’s still a large Marvel appetite at ABC. Also in the works at the network, is a top-secret Marvel project helmed by “American Crime” creator John Ridley.
Wow, those samples looked absolutely stunning! Though I noticed in the space shots a lot of stars fluctuating. As if they were on the verge of fading out. It's mostly in the shots just after leaving Mos Eisley.
Anyway, this is incredibly exciting stuff. Stellar work overall!
Woof. These look great!
What? I'm saying the opening of Star Wars' crawl is the premise of Rogue One. I never said anything about it having its own crawl.
Maybe you just have bad taste. =P
That's a deleted scene remember. While it's included in the novelization, since it's not in the film they could easily decide to ignore it.
As to the point, like I already said; in the original film his death is supposed to be this big moment but since the audience doesn't know the guy it has no impact.
Eh, I wouldn't get your hopes up. They recently started to expand on Kaiburr crystals in the canon. They've become pretty much just lightsaber crystals. In fact, the Death Stars actually use Kaiburr crystals to generate their blasts.

So who do you think it is that Maisie Williams is playing?
There's a shot with her and those stupid lion people that Romana ran off with...
But I'm barely in the middle of the Fifth Doctor run going through the series chronologically. So I don't have any insight into the current series.

by the way, Abrams is a very competent writer...
Does not commute. Most of the projects coming out of Bad Robot have serious writing issues. And he had three of the worst writers in the business working for him for the longest time.
Here's Harrison Ford's appearance at D23.
Edit: It's....odd that he says there's only one person on the poster that's not on the stage. Hmm....
As to the quality of this poster. Part of the process when creating a poster for any kind of campaign is creating a number of different rough sketches to show your client.
It would not surprise me to learn that this was one of the alternates that Struzan threw together just to give them options. Not knowing that they'd end up commissioning at least two posters. This one being for promotional purposes at D23.
Another thing to keep in mind is that he's at the mercy of his client. He very well could have had something else in mind for the bottom of the poster but then was requested to toss Solo in there after the tremendous response to the ending of the first teaser.
The "educational" historical episodes are the worst. I actively find The Gunfighters story offensive, as someone actually from the West. So glad they abandoned that for space adventures.
See my response in the relevant thread.
The pointy bit at the top of the hilt might be throwing you off.
Technically three. =P
But yeah, I've been HIGHLY suspicious ever since they released this footage. They say it's Tatooine but if you watch that Star Destroyer in the background it crashes to the surface exactly like the one from the teaser trailer.
The more I look at that photo the more I think the guy with the mustache is Biggs. I could see them wanting to expand on his character to heighten the impact of his loss in Star Wars.
I'm cautiously excited about this. Trevorrow has the right amount of enthusiasm but Jurassic World had some strange gaps and elements from previous drafts that made it into the final film that stuck out like sore thumbs.
