I’d say watching them in numbered order is the worst thing someone could do. Especially a first time viewer.
If you were to watch them in release order then your last experience before TFA is nothing but awful.
At least with the machete order you end on a good note.
The ideal is to just watch The Big Three but OP seemed intent on including the others. So might as well limit the damage.
I mean, if you have to include the prequels you might as well do it machete order:
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
You can give or take The Phantom Menace but it doesn’t really contribute much to the overall story. But the prequels as a whole really aren’t worth it.
Yeah…the writing for the short lived Spaceballs: The Animated Series does not leave one with much confidence.
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Ewoks: The Caravan of Courage
Ewoks: The Battle For Endor
Electra Has Arrived… (Trailer 2)

(EDIT: are these actual SW concept art by Cantwell?)
Yes.
Let us not forget the great unsung hero, Colin Cantwell. He was there at the beginning and helped inspire the look and feel of Star Wars. He pioneered the technique of kitbashing and was hired by George to design prototypes of the ships while he was still working on the first drafts.
The likely reason Rinzler didn’t include these in the book is that they’re not in the Lucasfilm archive. Cantwell still owns all of his original work for the film.
Here’s a great video interview series with Colin Cantwell about his work and history with the industry.
The Star Wars portion starts in Part 3. Lots of amazing stuff that you’ll find nowhere else, including artwork.
Yeah, that about sums up my thoughts on it. You don’t need to do a full 23 episode season but at least 10 would be nice. Five was too short. I couldn’t stand Einstein at all. You can be skeptical without being a jerk about it. I guess that serves to show what a great job Anderson did when the show started. To make that kind of character likable.
But yeah, I would definitely have preferred the return of Reyes and Doggett instead of Miller and Einstein. Heck, I would have even taken Xzibit over them.

Yeah, thankfully the director has had years of practice with that kind of stuff running Blur studios. They are hands down the best production house out there and I think it’s criminal that to date they’ve never done a feature film. Though I guess Deadpool kind of counts now. =P
Say hello to Ebe Endocott, possibly the stupidest looking alien to come from the PT.
No love for Ben Quadinaros?

Nothing to see here!

Based on the Marvel comic characters first published in 1969, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ” continues the lineage of epic big-screen adventures chronicled in “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Avengers,” “Iron Man 3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man,” and the upcoming release schedule, which includes “Captain America: Civil War” on May 6, 2016; “Doctor Strange,” November 4, 2016; “Spider-Man,” July 7, 2017; and “Thor: Ragnarok” on November 3, 2017.
Marvel Studios continued its unprecedented success in 2015 with the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” At the time of release, the film recorded the second biggest opening weekend of all time with a $191.3 million box office. It has also been the #1 release in every country where it has opened and has grossed over $1.4 billion in global box office. The studio also successfully launched another franchise with “Ant-Man,” starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly. The film opened #1 at the box office on July 17 and went on to gross more than $519 million at the worldwide box office. The film propelled the Marvel brands’ #1 domestic box-office opening streak to a record-breaking 12 consecutive films.
I too whole heartily recommend the Galaxy of Fear books. My second recommendation would be the Han Solo trilogy by Brian Daley.
The official trailer for Daredevil Season Two is here!
With another on the way next week!
I’ve never cared for his turn as a Jedi but I’d LOVE to see mercenary Kyle Katarn show up.
Firewatch (Campo Santo, 2016)
I’ve been a fan of Telltale Games for over a decade now. So when I heard that two of their best writers were leaving to start their own company I was more than intrigued. Now their first game is here and it’s a doozy!
Firewatch is an all around beautiful experience; visually, audibly and emotionally. Visually, the game can be quite stunning. But the heart of the game is the writing and the performances of the two main leads. This is first and foremost a story-driven experience. It’s best to think of it as something of a…living novel. You’re thrust into the life of a volunteer fire lookout, learning about and shaping their life.
The writing is stellar and you find yourself quickly immersed into this world through the phenomenal interactions between your character and his supervisor over the radio. The interaction between the two is quite endearing and pretty funny. The two lead voice actors should be commended for their outstanding performances.
Then comes the mystery…but I wouldn’t want to spoil any of the game so that’s all I’ll say about that. Suffice it to say, Firewatch is a very compelling and enjoyable, if somewhat short experience. Highly recommended.
I mean, I’m still enjoying the show for the most part, but they seem to be treading water like Season One of Agents of SHIELD, I wonder if something big is coming they have to wait for…
If you haven’t, you should check out the trailer for this half of the season. There’s some intense stuff coming…
I read somewhere that this guy wanted to make Abramsverse TNG. As much as I would hate that (a lot) and as much as I doubt that is the case (even more), trying to cast this mentally is fun.

Worse than any of the worst EU.
That’s just silly.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Having to deal with his nephew Clifford for eternity was his punishment for murdering his family.
Frink, if you ever post like that I’ll disown you.
Yeah, I don’t recall the Beethoven soundtrack being all that memorable in the film itself either.
