Is it though? Their main base of operations was just destroyed. It’s going to take a while before they can regroup.

Anyone else think we might get a Droids movie someday? There isn’t the wiggle room there once was for Threepio and Artoo to have solo adventures between the trilogies, but maybe we’ll find out what the red arm thing in TFA was about.
That story was told in comic form and Tony Daniels milks it for all its worth by padding out his panels with it. =P
“Star Wars” is officially closing one chapter in its universe, with the animated series “Star Wars Rebels” to conclude March 5 with a 90-minute series finale.
The program, which airs on Disney XD, will return February 19 with back-to-back episodes leading up to its conclusion.
The cable network also confirmed that Ian McDiarmid – who has played Emperor Palpatine in the “Star Wars” movies – will provide the character’s voice during this final flurry of episodes. (Another actor had previously voiced the character, who has been heard but not seen in the series.)
The emperor is shown fleetingly in the trailer, which was released Friday.
Despite airing on a children’s network, “Rebels,” now in its fourth season, has been an intriguing offshoot of the “Star Wars” mythology, focusing on a small band battling against the empire several years before the events depicted in the original movie, subtitled “A New Hope.”
The question of what happened to those characters – which include a Jedi named Kanan and his apprentice, Ezra – has hung over the series in terms of how dark the ending might be.
In October, series producer Dave Filoni told CNN that charting a finish to the series represented “quite a puzzle,” saying, “The ending works as it’s meant to. One of George’s main things about ‘Star Wars’ is it is a story about hope. … I tried to stick to those themes.”
Lucasfilm parent Disney has ramped up its production of live-action “Star Wars” prequels, but Filoni said that there’s still a wide array of possibilities for animated storytelling as well.
I’ll take a Rodian in any of these new movies anyway I can!
Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years vol. 2
What a wonderful era of Star Wars this was. Back when there was only the original film and writers and artists were free to run around the galaxy however they pleased.Eh, I dunno. I tried reading those comics a while back and they were just really lame. I reckon the Dark Horse comics absolutely blew these old Marvel comics out of the water, and the new line of Marvel comics are also way better. Those old comics don’t feel like Star Wars and just aren’t my thing.
This.
That.
Yeah, I’m really hoping Dave has something up his sleeve that we’ll be hearing about soon.
Here’s a special look into the first episode. Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger premieres Thursday, June 7 on @FreeformTV.
Rian just posted this series of images on twitter a few hours ago.
I’m betting Pablo or someone in the story group handed him those books when he was writing the script. The handling of the Force in the film always sounded very accurate and informed from an EU perspective to me. Though I never got around to reading those specific books(THE SACRED TEXTS).
Some footage was shown to a small audience in Munich. Here’s one reaction:

I just saw a Sneak Peak (EPK reel) of “SOLO - A Star Wars Story” and I must say I’m really really overwhelmed of how freaggin good it looks! (nothing about the story yet!)
Alden Ehrenreich is amazing as Han Solo, and so is Donald Glover as Lando, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson look awesome and it definitely had an “old” Star Wars Feel to it!!
Looks like this could be thefan-service-moviesome of the older Star Wars fans wanted from Episode VIII 😉
Can’t wait for an official trailer and it’s only 4 months (!!) to release! OMG!!
I don’t want it to end! =’(
Yeah that makes no sense. Unless the trailer consists entirely of pick-up shots there’s no reason that would delay a trailer release for a film that’s already finished its main shooting schedule.
At once something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight.
Creepy CGI Cushing looks more like him than this.
FTFY I had to get a better look.
Or you could think of them as McQuarrie X-Wings:

😉
This is by far my favorite R1 poster:

Meant to share this before last week:

Just finished my rewatch of Iron Man (2008).
It’s been a long while since I last revisited the film that started it all. The break was a good one, this is a solid film that still holds up today. It’s funny to realize how much has happened in the last 10 years. The state of cellphone technology, dated social media network references, the scale of fight scenes. The big end battle was such a revelation at the time but is quite a small engagement by today’s standards. The earlier anti-terrorist fights however are still brilliant. Overall, excellent film that started the ball rolling with important character development that has continued on and throughout the rest of the MCU.
I guarantee you ray doesn’t care. I really don’t either. I know everyone says the cartoon gets better as it goes along, and maybe that’s true, but I could barely finish season 1.
It doesn’t get better, it just beats your mind into a numb pulp as it goes along.
Amazing. Every word of what you just said…was wrong.
He could always fiddle with the settings on his helmet and the classic Fett voice comes out. 😉
Jason Wingreen is no more sadly. 😦
I never understood why Boba Fett would want to sound like a clone anyway. Tells way too much about him. Maybe we will be lucky and he’ll be silent the whole time.
I’m sure a sound alike can be found. The Fett movie depends on it!
Jeremy Bulloch actually does a pretty good Jason Wingreen impression. Imagine bringing him on to do that. Would keep the onscreen legacy of the character intact in such a wonderfully unconventional way.
Is Frink a secret Englishman?
Someone was able to get the character names off those Lego sets.
While Were-Monster was hands down the best thing about last season. I wouldn’t promote that one episode over the rest of the series. =P
It won’t help. He willfully ignores or retcons so much - including stuff he just introduced two years ago in season 10! (Which itself retconned a fuck ton from the original run.)
I have to have a clear recollection of everything in order to be properly annoyed! =P
Also, handy tip for anyone interested. You can watch the entire series free on Fox’s website!
The paint scheme is reminiscent of the one it had in ROTS:

However, other than the color, I think they’re going to be ignoring everything else about it.
I get the feeling in the film we’re going to learn that YT-1300 freighters come stock with that front covering and that Han removes it as part of his “special modifications.” Basically, I see the Falcon as the Star Wars equivalent of a hot rod:

And I can totally see an homage to this scene playing out in the film.
