oh joy. I’m currently doing a quick run through of the mytharc to catch back up before diving in.

Order of preference/genre. I keep my favorite films furthest to the right where they’re easier to reach from the shelf.
Actually, I probably watch a few more than that, but most are watched in 30 minute increments over a week at 5am.
Yippee-Ki-Yay, Moof-Milker! 😛

This thread needs something…
Anakin’s unmasking without eyebrows
I reckon it would be very easy for the writer’s to end up turning Han and Lando into a parody of their saga characters, but I’m hoping for the best.
You know this was written by Lawrence Kasdan right? One would think he’d be the most qualified person for the job…
Rey kicking Kylo’s butt makes him seem very weak period. Plus there is no plausible explanation. But this thread isn’t the place for this kind of discussion.
You mean besides the fact that he was severely wounded and bleeding out from a shot to the torso that was previously established to carry enough force to toss multiple troops into the air? And a mental wreck after just murdering his own father?
But you’re right, wrong thread for this discussion.
The Chronicles of Riddick- A woefully misguided sequel to Pitch Black that tried to turn the whole thing into a big Star Wars-style space opera, but the thin screenplay doesn’t work when you stretch something so confined onto a wider canvas. Lots of already dated FX, a bunch of furious action scenes which don’t really work, and a bunch of babbling about a mythology that doesn’t make much sense. A well-designed but turgid misfire.
I couldn’t stand the theatrical version of this film but the director’s cut did a lot to salvage it.
I thought the Christmas Special perfectly encapsulated why Moffat needed to go. His wishy-washy fairy tale take on the franchise is just awful. As is his over reliance on big manufactured emotionally manipulative moments. They’ve lost most of their impact from overuse. And he wasted almost the entirety of Capaldi’s run.
Bradley is a fine First Doctor even if he sounds nothing like Hartnell. He did well with what he was given and that’s saying something as the characterization of the First Doctor here was just terrible.
I was surprisingly taken with 13’s introduction. The cliffhanger ending has me intrigued.
Ultimately, I can’t wait until Capaldi joins Big Finish so he can finally be free of the Moff.

^ That was real neat!
Longmire (2012-2017)
I joined this series late. I had just finished season 3 when I learned that A&E was cancelling the show and that the showrunners were looking for a new home for the series. Thankfully Netflix stepped up and let this series go out on its own terms. Fantastic show that follows a dedicated sheriff who watches over a Wyoming county the size of Delaware with just three deputies. Wonderfully written show, the cast is fantastic with the likes of Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips. They all turn out stellar performances and really embody their characters. I also appreciate it for turning an eye toward native reservation life. All around great show, I highly recommend it!
That would have been neat, canon does support that she was there. But it probably would require too much work to get a hold of a proper Ghost model.
I learned something about myself today. Something that will change the rest of my life from this day forward.

Star Wars’ infamous Holiday Special, explained
Just wanted to say thanks to Zion for this fantastic project! The Holiday Special may not get the proper love it deserves but it’s good to know there are those out there fighting the good fight to preserve this important piece of history.
Added trailer for: Mortal Engines

Either way I REALLY hope Disney actually let 20th Century Fox still exist as a separate brand once the transaction is complete, but I’m not holding my breath knowing their history.
You mean their history of not sticking their name anywhere on Marvel or Star Wars?
I’d recommend checking out TFA again, preferably the Gentle Restructure fan edit.
Not a surprise (the following weeks are going to be more interesting… many people aren’t probably going to watch it several times like they did with TFA)
Except I and a couple of friends have seen it twice now and I have another who is on his third. =P
That was neat. Only a matter of time until fans can shoot their own prequel trilogy… 😉
The Phantom Menace (1999) - 4/10
Attack of the Clones (2002) - 6/10
Revenge of the Sith (2005) - 7/10
Rogue One (2016) - Didn’t finish watching
Okay, I’m a little concerned…
