We should start an OT.com Steam group. =P

it had some of it's own original ideas mixed in....
Please list them.
*GASP*

They were toned down a little for STID. ST09 looks ridiculous.
It's going to drive me nuts not knowing what Ryan originally wrote...
I still regret I couldn't make it to California to see Creature From the Black Lagoon projected in its original 3D. =(
I was pretty disappointed by Bioshock Infinite. The new story DLC has me excited though.
Elysium (2013)
Solid. Enjoyed it about as much as I did District 9.
2 Guns (2013)
Best buddy cop movie I've seen in years. Great chemistry between the two.

Indy 4 is, without a doubt, an awesome and pretty cool film.

Obviously, Relics was made when Generations was but a nervous twitch in the screenwriter's eye, and nobody caught the error.
Ronald D. Moore said:
The only way to address the Scotty/Relics issue in Generations was not to have Scotty in the movie at all. I wasn't willing to make that trade for the sake of a single line that can easily be rationalized away by saying "Scotty was momentarily confused." I still wouldn't do it.

The way Picard's brother and nephew were killed off still seems incredibly random and cruel to me. (Who the heck dies in a barn fire in the 24th century?) The episode Family has been essentially ruined for me thanks to Generations.
It wasn't that random. They wanted to reinforce/introduce Picard's need for children to carry on the family name. As long as his nephew was around he didn't have to carry that burden.
I still hated it though.
I knew there was something about Han Solo in The Star Wars that bugged me.
He's literally just Swamp Thing!

Word on the street is that Disney's planning to release this thing in December of 2015. Way less competition at the box office and more time to finish the movie.
Anyway, nothing official yet, just a rumor.
That doesn't jive with all of the Celebration VII announcements. It's been said all over that Celebration VII will "coincide with the release of Episode VII."
Harrison Ford successfully bribed $1000 dollars to spill the beans on the new Star Wars.

Yes, yes! To xhonzi you listen!
So this happened:
The Resistance series has always been crappy. I only own a 360 and even I know that. =P
Have you looked into Journey? That's another one people always rave about.
As if the "general audience" knows or differentiates. =P

But you're also right in that the casual viewer might be confused by having a series taking place in a different timeline than the movies coming out at the same time.
Yes, I know that Superman Returns came out while Smallville was on the air. I still think people might have been confused.
Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)
Star Trek: The Final Frontier (1989)
Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country (1991)

Trailer for the forthcoming "The Star Wars" comic based on Lucas' original concepts. That Luke Skywalker guy looks awfully familiar!
Not fond of the "Lucas as Luke" design, but I'm loving the all-red lightsabers.
I don't know why not. In the story he plays the Obi-Wan role.
If anyone's interested, if you create a free Dark Horse account you can read the preview here.
I so don't belong in this thread. =P I've seen a handful of the third Doctor's episodes and am now going through the entire series as it was released. I hope I can make it. Susan and Barbara are driving me mad...
I'm digging that new trailer. And yeah I always got a kick out of how the earliest concept art for Luke looked like George. =P
I second the recommendation for Red Dead Redemption. Fantastic game.
Though I have to disagree on L.A. Noire. Love that game. Insanely detailed recreation of 1947 Los Angeles. The attention to detail is insane and the size of the map is very impressive. And pile on top of that classic film noir storytelling and baby, you got a stew goin'.
