The first two seasons are pretty rough. But it really picks up once the third starts.

I have nothing to add to this.

It's only ever been vague to us. As to the scope, they are called the "wars" so I hardly think the word "incident" is fitting. As to what side or in what capacity the clones were involved was never implied. Though I agree the reveal that they were cloned slaves used by the Republic was more than a bit of a let down.

If Hayden had got a decent script, a decent story and a decent director/editor on AOTC and ROTS then yes I'm saying he woud have been great as young Anakin. Try to see past the terrible dialogue, watch a scene with the sound off where he's acting with just his eyes. Little moments like when his voice cracks and he stumbles over his words as he's talking to his dying mother are ignored because all one can remember from that scene is awful dialogue like "Now I am complete". If Hayden had been allowed to play Anakin all the way through with the same subtlety we'd have some very different films. But Lucas could never trust the actors he'd hired so he had Hayden simply state what he is feeling like "I shouldn't have done that" and "I don't understand".
If Hayden is a terrible actor because of the script in the PT then Samuel L. Jackson is a terrible actor too.
LOL. I admit, you had me going there. I thought you were actually serious at first.
Sorry to double post but I didn't want this to get lost in the last post:

And Hayden is great in that scene you posted btw.

Wether you think Anakin should say those words or have done those things is neither here nor there, as I'm talking about the performance.
I would like you to find at least one scene in the PT (or anything Hayden has done) that can compare to this performance.
The idea that this guy was a good Anakin is insane. And so that last panel stands.

One thing this show has going for it over TCW is that we aren't pre-destined to hate the interpretation of these characters because they are brand new. So even if they suck at least you can't point to a film where Alec Guiness et al did them better :-D
Are...are you saying Christensen's Anakin was better than Lanter's? Ô_o

It's a movie based on lurid 1960's trading cards, (Kids love 'em!) and in that respect it's spot on. And I think more highly of it than ID4. ;)
I've always wanted to own a set of those cards.
Oh man, now some crazy person has to go in and do a revisited of Mars Attacks! and replace the CG with stop motion.

It will be nice having actors interacting with real sets. Not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for the sake of the actors and their performances.
I've still never bought this idea.
Do you think their performances suffered because they didn't have elaborate sets?

The wooden performances in the PT come down to how they were directed. Green/Blue screens had nothing to do with it.
Though ultimately, I do agree it would be nice to have real sets.
As SilverWook said, they were there because they were there in ROTS. The Senate building is apparently overrun with them. =P

....heaps of comic relief, and endless numbers of lightsaber battles.
Can you provide any evidence of this?
Even with a SPOILER warning. You NEVER post twists out in public unless you're trolling.

So Ezra's another Jedi in training? How many of them are there going to be in this show anyway?
I like the idea of a kid discovering his connection with the Force. How many of us didn't imagine ourselves doing the same when we were younger?
It's Kanan that I have issues with. As Tyr mentioned, I hope he doesn't stick around long.
The Planet of the Apes tv series was just about two human astronauts running across Ape society and teaching them how to actually do things the right(human) way.
Still haven't gotten around to checking out the animated series but I definitely want to.
I started watching Caprica but just couldn't do it. I hate that actress who plays the daughter. She just rubs me the wrong way.
Funnily enough, I just started watching Twin Peaks as well. I was intrigued because Netflix had recommended it a while back when I was doing my run through of the X-Files. But I kept putting it off. Then I started to play Alan Wake and remembered hearing that a lot of that game was inspired by Twin Peaks. So I've been playing a chunk of Alan Wake every day and then watching around two episodes of Twin Peaks immediately after.
I'm a big fan of both now and highly recommend Alan Wake to any Twin Peaks fans.
O_o Um okay.
So, Vader invades Kashyyyk to hunt down a reported Jedi that had been living there among the Wookiees. He does so and then discovers the Jedi had a son. Instead of killing the child he decides to take it with him.
He raises the child as his own secret apprentice in the hopes of one day overthrowing the Emperor. To ensure that he puts the kid through some crazy savage training to bring out the highest Darkside Force potential. Because the Emperor is no joke.
Vader uses his Secret Apprentice to hunt down the remaining Jedi that escaped the purge. Eventually the Emperor finds out about the Apprentice, or he knew about him all along. Either way, he orders Vader to betray his Apprentice but to keep him alive so that he might escape.
Why? Because the Emperor knows with his training he'll want to seek his revenge. And to take on the Empire you'll need an army. So the ultimate goal is to let Starkiller draw out the hidden Rebel leaders that have lead pocket Rebellions so that they can be eliminated.
Of course the plan backfires, and those leaders that had been separate before unite and form the Rebel Alliance.
In his memory they adopt his family crest as the symbol of the Alliance:

He gave them Hope.
Yeah, Han has some bad luck when it comes to Ord Mantell and bounty hunters...
This is what I consider to be the canon encounter.
However, if it were up to me. My personal way of telling the story would have been to have Han encounter Boba Fett on Ord Mantell and end the story with some Rebel soldier sacrificing himself to save Han from a disintegration shot from Boba.
