Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**
Time

The audiences where I live behave themselves pretty well. Every once in a blue moon I might have to kick the seat of the occasional phone glancer though.

It'd be nice if my local theater chain adopted the policies of the Drafthouse as I don't think they'll ever be able to get a foothold in my state. Harkins owns this territory.

Portable Deus Ex Game: The Fall on sale for $1 on Android and Apple.

Thanks for the tip (It's £4.99 for UK Deus Ex fans btw). It looks almost as good as the full game. I might wait a bit and see if it gets ported to the PS3 (Like they did for one of the MGS titles) because it looks like it will suck to play on a touch screen.

Dunno if it's coming to consoles. There's a PC release coming to Steam for $9.99(£7.99) that's available for pre-order. I figure if they were going to port it to consoles as well they would have announced them at the same time.

I seriously wonder where your collective heads are at sometimes. You hear, "plays a character like Darth Vader" and automatically assume they're sizing him for breathing gear.

Did you stop to think that they might have simply meant he's going to be the film/trilogy's main villain?

Frankly I'm extremely skeptical about any kind of news at the moment. It would be far too easy for people to mix up casting news for VII with Rebels.

Jedi 30th Ann. screening at Pixar...of the original version!

Yeah...if you can't trust Phil Tippett, who can you trust? He was more directly impacted by the SE's than any of us. Let us not forget, when asked about them he said:

Tippett: ...you know it was about re-releasing something to get more money to feed the beast and all that kind of stuff. So...

Interviewer: So you don't like it?

Tippett: No, it sucks. No, I mean the whole thing with the whole uh, what was the name of the town, Mos Eisley...I mean the way that he shot it like Sergio Leone was just great and a breath of fresh air and so true to the material. And then when he went back in, put in all that stupid stuff.

JEDIT: Actual video clip of the conversation.

STAR WARS: REBELS (animated tv series) - a general discussion thread

Interview with the voice of Hera, Vanessa Marshall

excerpt:

Marshall: I will say, I adore the tone of the original trilogy films: the witty banter, the biting comments back and forth, as well as the unconditional love beneath all that bickering. I would say Star Wars Rebels has that exact same pacing, energy, and endearing quality. As I said, Hera has assembled this motely crew – they’re slightly dysfunctional and brutally honest with each other. This chosen family, whose bond is almost stronger than blood, they face impossible odds, they learn to trust each other, take action in the face of injustice and oppression… and all the while, it’s wisecracks galore! So at once the stakes are incredibly high, the bickering is crazy intense, but the underlying love itself is there. That adds up to a whole experience that’s both fun and funny! I really think people are going to care about these characters and the fate of their mission. I know that every episode delivers on a spectacular adventure!
