No interest from CBS. There's been rumblings about a CSI type show and giving Worf his own ship and show but nothing has come of them.

And what was up with that Imperial's hat being so low? It a wonder he can see where he's going.
They've been doing that with all of the lower level officers so they don't have to bother modelling a new face.

No, I'm confused as to whether you think that the original line was delivered too angrily or not. You seem to imply that the original line was delivered angrily, which I guess it was, but no more angrily than any other Vader line in the series (like "I find your lack of faith disturbing")
See this thread for a detailed account of his beliefs on the matter.
Look who's coming to town:

'Twin Peaks': Kyle MacLachlan Returns for Showtime Series
Kyle MacLachlan will return as Special Agent Dale Cooper in Showtime's 'Twin Peaks', set 25 years after the original series.
Showtime announced today during their TCA Winter Tour presentation that original Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan will reprise his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper in the cable network's nine-episode limited series. The actor himself made a surprise appearance at the presentation, handing a cup of coffee to Showtime president David Nevins, while uttering one of Cooper's favorite sayings, "Damn good coffee." Here's what the actor had to say in a brief statement about returning to Twin Peaks.
"I'm very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks. May the forest be with you."
Kyle MacLachlan was rumored to return as Cooper back in October, when Showtime announced that the series will debut in 2016, 25 years after the show's brief run ended on ABC. No story details were revealed for the nine-episode series, and it isn't known if any other original cast members will be back as well. The original Twin Peaks series also starred Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Lara Flynn Boyle, Richard Beymer, Sherilyn Fenn and Peggy Lipton.
Original series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are returning to write all nine episodes, with David Lynch set to direct the entire season. Production is scheduled to begin sometime this year, with the show set in present day, continuing the lore of the original series and providing long-awaited answers for the series' passionate fan base. Kyle MacLachlan most recently starred in NBC's short-lived series Believe, and he also had recent arcs on CBS' The Good Wife and ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Take a look at Showtime's tweet confirming Kyle MacLachlan's return to Twin Peaks.

So any scenes with cgi additions but no composited elements are probably safe at the very least.
Minus the shots that were destroyed during the clean up process:
Tanaka: I remember when we were working on the Star Wars restoration, that was a different process. I think we optically recreated interpositives. But in order to do this, it went through some kind of warm chemical bath cleansing. The weird thing about Star Wars was that it was made up of different film stocks, so it went through this bath and they didn’t know what would come out on the other end...
Parker: You mean if it would survive or not? ‘George we might destroy your entire film, but it’s... we think it’s going to be OK.’
Tanaka: There’s a space battle shot and a close-up on Hans Solo, and the original negative is coming out of this cleaning solution and it’s just acetate.
Parker: It’s all clear. Oh no, did the bath dissolve it?
Tanaka: Yeah, it dissolved it, depending on the film stock.

I think it is ridicules for Disney to act like it the EU never happened.
May Disney suffer a 1000 years in the belly of a Sarlacc for stopping the story of the EU.
Disney doesn't call those kinds of shots. They leave it Lucasfilm to make those kinds of calls because they trust them to handle the franchise, as no one else knows it better. It's the same thing they did with Marvel.
As I said before, this is all due to George's vision of the post-ROTJ galaxy and would have happened regardless of if they had sold to Disney or not.
Just watched the latest episode. That was great!
Oh man, I hope he becomes a regular guest star.
Interesting...turns out Lucas was already in the planning stages to direct Episode VII before Disney came knocking:
Lucas already started to develop the next three Star Wars films, but he knew a third trilogy was a 10-year commitment at least. He at first expected to finish Episode VII, release it in May 2015 and then sell the company afterward.
But Disney expressed interest and came along at the right moment, Lucas says. "It's better for me to get out at the beginning of a new thing and I can just remove myself.
"The time is more important to me than the money."

That's not EU. That's "canon" now.
I don't think that canonicity is enough of a distinction to warrant a separate thread.
The EU is dead. The stuff coming out now does not fall under that now defunct classification.
The EU could be brushed off because it was never on par with film canon.
Now all future books and comics will share the same level of authority as the films. If that doesn't warrant a new discussion, I don't know what does.
Haha, yes! Finally! Been waiting for this episode to come around for forever!
About a year before the show launched he accidentally let slip that he'd done some recording for the show. I'm excited to hear that Filoni wants to bring him back for more in the future.
I loved when he appeared in Jedi Outcast, you can never have enough Billy Dee!
=D
Again. That's not EU. That's "canon" now. That post belongs in General Star Wars Thoughts or some new thread about the new canon.
Yes. The Expanded Universe was retired and none of the series that fell under that label will be continued.
As to why that is, when George sold Star Wars to Disney, part of the deal was an outline for the next three films VII-IX. As you should be aware, George never considered the EU as a legitimate continuation of his universe:
George Lucas said:
...there have been novels about the events after Episode VI, which isn't at all what I would have done with it. ... Once Vader dies, he doesn't come back to life, the Emperor doesn't get cloned and Luke doesn't get married...
So whatever is in that outline doesn't conform at all with the pre-existing EU timeline.
What it is specifically we don't know for certain. But we know Chewbacca is still alive and it's pretty much a given that Jaina, Jacen, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker never existed and Luke never married Mara Jade.
Those are things you simply cannot retcon away. And so Lucasfilm had no choice but to retire the Expanded Universe.
At least Enterprise pretty much redeemed itself in the last season. Voyager....
Murder By Death (1976)
Meh. Had Alec Guinness though!
Finally got to catch Agent Carter.
I loved it! The setting is fantastic and I love the banter between Peggy and Jarvis.
After some initial reports I was a little worried about the writing turning most of the male cast into bumbling idiots. Was pleasantly surprised that they didn't take the sexism to a cartoonish degree for the most part.
Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season!

Alright....which one of you is Patton? Fess up! =P
He really does have a funny and true insight into our world. I've seen him at Caroline's in Manhattan. Hilarious.
here's another clip. There are more than a handful of folks around here (and other boards) who could benefit from his insight.
80 Days (2014)
Wonderfully enchanting experience. Highly recommended.
Alright....which one of you is Patton? Fess up! =P
Instead of wasting all that time and money they should have just played Homeward in theaters.
Sunday is pretty dead but there's usually still a few things going on.
Yeah I'm waiting to get a good discount on the Phase 1 set.
Jailhouse Rock (1957)
Great film. Elvis gave a wonderful performance.
No, he does a great Tim Curry impression though!
Still not as bad as recasting Tim Curry for the role after the original actor passed away.
