Instead of wasting all that time and money they should have just played Homeward in theaters.

Sunday is pretty dead but there's usually still a few things going on.
Yeah I'm waiting to get a good discount on the Phase 1 set.
Jailhouse Rock (1957)
Great film. Elvis gave a wonderful performance.
No, he does a great Tim Curry impression though!
Still not as bad as recasting Tim Curry for the role after the original actor passed away.

The thing you mentioned first is easy to ignore the same way the Anakin doubling his powers stuff is.
If it's all supposed to be one cohesive canon now, why would one be required to ignore large discrepancies like that to make it work?
As long as this novel is canon, we're golden:

Trek made an effort recently to make the old continuity fit better and the new movies don't contradict the comics. So, you are screwed.
Actually there's a pretty big discrepancy between the Abramstrek comic and films. In STID Kirk makes a big deal about having never lost a crewmember in the time he's been captain. Yet he lost crew in just about every issue of the comic leading to the film.
There's also the issue of the official tie-in game not agreeing with the official tie-in comic or film. Despite all three being written by the same people.
She was one of my favorite characters on the show but this left a real bad taste in my mouth:

We had planned to see Terry Farrell in the flashbacks but she refused to let us use any of her clips. The way I see it is this: Her manager was informed that we were thinking of using Terry in a scene in the final episode. It would have probably been three hours of work... maybe four. The price they quoted us was too high for the budget. After all, this was a show where we had to cut out hundreds of thousands of dollars from the original draft.
Her manager was informed that we weren't going to be able to use Terry. And on top of it, the scene we had been thinking of for her was really not that germane to the plot. I think Terry's feelings were hurt. When it came to the issue of the clips, they again felt that they would prefer that we went a different way without using the character of Jadzia Dax. So we did. I wasn't happy about it. I'm still not happy about it. But it is a reminder that even Star Trek is just part of the great showbiz sludge.
The way Farrell left the show and refused to let them use her likeness for the series finale was not cool.
Well, I can't comment on the premiere as yet as I've been absolutely swamped with work. =(
So instead I present you with....THE FIRST TEASER FOR ANT-MAN!!!
I just had an idea. What if instead of dying from injuries, during her medical scan they discover that she has some kind of terminal condition that she had kept secret up to that point. It would help to intensify Anakin's tragedy as despite everything he did she was always destined to die.
Though I'm not sure how to convey that in the line or two that you have to work with.
Maybe something like:
"We discovered an inoperable mass in her cerebrum. The condition is terminal though complete determination of life expectancy will require further testing."

Oh, and the fact that the whole Sith thing was only explained in the novel...
You know, I've never considered that before. They spend a good portion of time explaining various things to little Annie, including midichlorians, but they don't devote a second to explaining who the Sith are or their beef with the Jedi.
For anyone that's on the fence about catching Agent Carter or anyone that just hasn't seen it yet, I recommend checking out the original One Shot short that inspired the series.

Man, some of you people *really* hated Prometheus.
Don't get me started! =P
Er....this was their only appearance on the Muppet Show.
As a bonus, here's Artoo falling in love on Sesame Street. I wish the entire episode was preserved. =(

It's been quiet over the holidays. I need a fix. Some leaked images, behind the scenes stuff, a teaser, a card with a character - something.
How's this?
Oscar Isaac, aka ace X-wing pilot Poe Dameron featured in The Force Awakens teaser trailer, provided the following brief comments on a few TFA subjects via this article posted on Yahoo Movies.
On getting his hands on the script ahead of time and the secrecy surrounding it:
"They won’t even do that," Isaac, who stars in JC Chandor’s forthcoming crime drama A Most Violent Year, told Yahoo Movies. “You go to the place, and they have a room with cameras and you sit there and read the script. They’re incredibly protective, because nowadays, with however many hundreds of blogs and this and that, people are just ravenous for content. So because of that, there has to be such tight security around it. And it gets in the way of the process a bit, but it’s understandable.”
On the concept of creating plot theories based on leaked images and what was shown in the official teaser trailer:
"I can’t speak for the cast and crew, I can just speak for myself, but for me I thought, Don’t you want to wait so you can get the real thing?" Isaac said. "But it creates excitement for it. I don’t think these little leaks necessarily ruined watching the trailer. And also, the [plot theories] that get that formulated based on these things — they couldn’t be more far off-base."
It literally takes like five seconds to create an account there. You don't even need an email address.
You guys have some weird ideas about reddit.
First issue isn't out for another week but we now have a first look at the second issue!

Gotta say it definitely looks like an improvement over what we've seen for issue #1. Though why does that look like a regular gun?
I think pretty much all of my favorite Star Wars comics are set pre-ROTJ so they wouldn't need to be remade to fit the new continuity.
That said, I'd love to see more of Doug Wheatley's art and Randy Stradley's writing in the Star Wars galaxy.

Reading old George interviews is wonderful and informative, and you really get a sense of the genius behind the legacy. Then you realize half-way through that this is the same guy that made the prequels and you can't help but feel a little sad.
I love the George of old. It's sad that I am so mad at the George of now.
I am glad you typed it up, it was a good read.
I share the same sentiments and thanks!
With his retirement we haven't heard much from the bearded one. Last I heard he's still fighting to hold onto the land for his museum.
You mean the extra content? What's to restore, they look glorious!
Let us not forget the old axiom, never look a gift horse in the mouth!
The Star Wars: Legacy comics are full of idiotic Huttese swears.
My favorite OT swear would have to be, "Blast it!"
While my favorite EU swear would have to go to, "Aw, Sith spit!"
