Amazon possibly has cheaper prices. You can get the WS of AOTC in Used Good condition for $3.93.
Don't forget though the 2004 box set includes the bonus disc and that's possibly why some people are buying that.
Reconstructed trailer for the rare second trailer for Predator:

I just finished eating a Domino's Pizza and a glass of grape soda.
It's that time of the year again; Christmas! I know, early right? But I like to celebrate it from Nov 1st to Jan 31st! As a result, it's time for a reconstructing trailer contest revolving around Holiday movies (I say Holiday for Christmas because I don't want to be politically incorrect)!
Here are (as always) the rules.
1. Pick a Holiday movie, any Holiday movie! It can be a movie you love, or a movie's trailer you think is in dire need of restoration.
2. Use the best DVD, Blu-Ray, or any other sources for your reconstructed trailer available.
3. The trailer for your selected movie can be any trailer you want: Ones we all know and love, rare ones, etc.
4. Do the best you can with your reconstructed trailer (matching it frame-by-frame for example)
5. Keep the trailer you're reconstructing with the original audio.
6. Anything that is exclusive to the trailer you're working on and can't find any good sources for it, then keep it as is and if you want, upscale the quality.
Contest begins right now and ends on January 30th. I'll pick the winner(s) on Jan 31st. Have fun!
Good work! I also see you've done a trailer for First Blood! Let's watch, shall we?

This could be interesting to be honest. I think we all know they'll use the robotic torso idea from one of the non-canon stories.
At first I was worried when I read page 1 of this thread, but after reading page 6, I'm glad there's 2 prints of Star Wars 77 still there with LoC. They want ot preserve the 1997 SE, that's fine, but NEVER replace the original '77 version with it. It's and outrage and an insult.
A new reconstructed trailer has surfaced! This time, it's Brainstorm:

It's that time of the year again; Halloween! Where little kids dress up and go out trick or treating while the older kids sit back and watch horror films! With Halloween being the time for horror to it's fans, I though I do a Reconstructed Trailer Contest focusing on horror films. Here are the rules:
1. Pick a horror movie, any horror movie! It can be a horror movie you love, or a horror movie's trailer you think is in dire need of restoration.
Deadline is October 30th, winners announced on Halloween, and the Contest starts...NOW!!! Good luck! :)
UPDATE: Forgot to mention, horror comedies and Halloween movies (Hocus Pocus for example) are acceptable.

Has anyone considered that BETTER sales may promt Lucas to release the OOT?
Well I sure do. I think this will help Lucas to raise some money on the side to restored the OOT. And maybe with the controversy on the changes, it may get Lucas to work on releasing it faster.
Big news! The animated segment from The Holiday Special can be found as an Easter Egg on the Blu-Ray!!!:
http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Bluray_Boba_Fett_Holiday_Special_Easter_Egg_140608.asp
"TFN reader Luke (not Skywalker) sent over the following for fans picking up Star Wars: The Complete Saga today...
"Not sure if this has been mentioned but to unlock the animated Boba fett holiday special you pop in the OT bonus disk & go to -
epiV > Bespin > the collection > concept boba fett armour > click on first look
stumbled across last night, funny to watch."
Thanks Luke!
UPDATE: Looks like we have corrected instructions from Jared...
OT Bonus Disk - Episode IV - Pursued by the Imperial Fleet - The Collection - Boba Fett Prototype Costume - First Look"
I do like the Expanded Universe. The different kind of stories, characters, droids, locations, ships (the designs of those are pretty cool), really make the EU worth wild. :)
You know, I was thinking about if someone made a project like this. I say go for it! :)
Glad to see that R2 jump-cut in ANH was fixed.

We need to get this guy on milk cartons:
I already got a caption! "Have You Seen Me? Last Seen: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Special Edition 1997." :p
Funny how you said you were in the 5th grade when 9/11 happened, cuz I was in the 5th grade too the time of 9/11 instead the principal told us to go home immediately. I ddin't understand what happened until we got home. News reports all over the TV reporting about the Twin Towers falling and it was devastating. Never forget that day. Never forget.
Because Star Wars is the most requested title for Blu-Ray and everyone want it for their collection.
No tweaks to OOT. Leave the OOT as they are for Blu-Ray (if there is one).
