STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>

The thing with Cg troopers is that it they are based in the computer and not in real life so reflections etc happen because someone has programmed them to be there. But in real life things are much different. The stormtrooper armour doesn't reflect the muzzle flashes, which are bright, even in dark lighting so the chances of them reflecting the laser fire is small, if any chance at all. The blasters in the OT were REAL firing props, unlike the plastic lightweight crap ones using in the PT. These things actually fired and created a real, on-set muzzle flash. Guess what....no reflection on any part of the armour

I actually have an OT blaster that was won at a auction. Payed $300+ dollars for it. And it is real. I had it checked.

I think you need to add Qui-Gon and Padmé to the mix.

Good idea. I never thought about that. I'll get right to it. But for now it they won'thave the blue glow. I'll be adding the glow to everybody some other time.

I'll also be fixing Yoda's and Obi-Wan's head. To me, Obi-Wan's head looks like it actually be longs there, you know what I mean?

It's almost exactly the dialog used in the novelisation, which means it probably stems from an earlier draft of the script.

Well, that scene is the only one I can't remember for some reason. I was reading the book at the time, so I went with the dialogue. Plus, I didn't feel like getting up and turning on the TV.

Where did you get this from? 'Cause that's not how the dialog went in the original cut of the film.

From the Star Wars website a several years ago. The webpage has now been terminated.

The Emperor is now saying the original lines, but its the "new" voice. I'm not sure what sample video you found, but that was done a few years ago.

As for the Wampa doing the hokey-pokey (he put his arm in, now he's shaking all about), I'm pretty sure Adywan agrees with me that is probably the worst shot of the SE scene and must go back to the cutting room floor from whence it came.

So you're saying that the shot will not appear or it will be refilmed along with the rest of the wampa shots?

Well the video side of things is almost complete. i've got about 20 shots left to do (hell of a lot of rotoscoping work to do though on these shots). Still working on the miniatures etc. I'll start filming these once all the video work is done so i know the exact angles and what i need to composite to look like, but once they are filmed it won't take long to complete each composite. Then it's on to the audio work.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new wampa. But here's an idea for the wampa scene. (I didn't come up with this.) What you should do is include the SE shot of the wampa howling in pain after its arm gets chopped of, but keep all the original mystery-wampa shots. This would create suspense and then people would be shocked when we see the full wampa for a couple of seconds. Also, I found a sample video of the new emperor. Why are you using the new Vader-Emperor dialogue instead of the original. You said that you want all film to be connected. That means when you start watch TESB, you shouldn't know that Vader is the father until ROTJ. The SE version kind of spoils it. My final idea is to keep the newer Emperor look, but use the original audio. This links that Palpatine in I-III is the emperor, and he'll look how he does in ROTJ. Please think about these. I've also left the scripts of the Vader-Emperor scene below. Bold shows what lines are the same.

Original

EMPEROR: You may rise, my servant.

VADER: What is thy bidding, My Master?

EMPEROR: There is a grave disturbance in the Force.

VADER: I have felt it.

EMPEROR: Our situation is most precarious. We have a new enemy who could bring about our destruction.

VADER: Our destruction? Who?

EMPEROR: The son of Skywalker. You must destroy him...or he will be our undoing.

VADER: He's not a Jedi, he's just a boy. Obi-wan could not have taught him so much that...

EMPEROR: You are weak! I have seen it. The Force is strong with him. He must be destroyed.

VADER: But, if he could be turned, he would be a powerful ally.

EMPEROR: Yes...yes. That would be a great asset.

VADER: He will join us or die, my master.

VADER: I have felt it.

EMPEROR: We have a new enemy - Luke Skywalker.

VADER: Yes, my master.

EMPEROR: He could destroy us.

VADER: He's just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him.

EMPEROR: The Force is strong with him. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi.

VADER: If he could be turned, he would become a powerful ally.

The Empire Strikes Back Music Cue List

And I thought you might be interested in a project which very successfully recreates the experience the people at the original recording sessions experienced.

The JWFan message board has thoughts on the ANH and RotJ cue lists:

http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9006&hl=Resource

It looks very interesting. It's cool that fan work together to try to recreate a cue list or original score recordings. The only problem is that the list in the link and my own research doesn't seem to have any 1M1, 2M4, 5M8, etc for ANH and ROTJ.

The Strongest Feet In The Galaxy: Han Solo
Time

So, remember in Jedi when Han falls of the mini-barge? Remember how strong his feet were:

Not a lot of people has spotted this change. It's one of those little ones that you don't really notice until you watch the SE and the originals at the same time, or a friend points it out to you:

TThey added ropes. For the longest time, I thought Han had the strongest feet in the galaxy. Holding on to the side, upside down, having Lando reach and pull on a gun, while an extremely large tentacle tries to each everybody. This change has been place since 1997, the picture shown is from the 2004 SE. In my book, this change is "okay" or "all right". I don't really like it, but at least it doesn't walk in front of the screen or make unneeded sounds (like the stuff from ANH).

What was your first reaction to Greedo shooting first?
Time

The first time I saw it, I didn't notice that Greedo shot first. I saw the blast from his gun and thought that Lucas had Greedo shot at the same time as Han. When I watched the SE again, I noticed Han did this stupid looking head movement. When the 2004 SE came out, I was happy that Han's head movement look a little more natural, but sad\mad that Han shot second. Beside, how can someone less that 5 feet away miss their target. I've shot wild deer and ducks when I was 50 feet away and killed them with 1 shot. Now, if Lucas made Han and Greedo sit at the ends of a really long table, then Greedo would miss. But no, they're less than 5 feet away. Overall, it's the worst change made to ANY movie.

How many times have you bought the movies?
Time

Well, for the Original Trilogy, I've bought...

  1. The 1995 VHS collection
  2. The 1997 VHS Special Editions
  3. The 2004 DVD Special Editions
  4. The 2006 DVD Limited Editions
  5. The 2011 Blu-rays

My family (mostly my wife) has given me all the VHS and DVD releases of the Prequel Trilogy.

I'm also counting the old 8 and 16 mm reels as well.

Red &amp; Gold Squadrons Pilot Questions
Time

So, I've always wondered who the uncredited pilots in ANH are. Does anyone know? I've checked all the releases I have - 1995\2006, 1997, 2004, 2011 - and none of these seem to have them. These are the ones I need answers to:

Except giving credit to James Earl Jones... that was overdue.

What's funny is that he still goes uncredited for the work he did in Empire, in '97 he only got one for the first film, (he was already credited in Jedi) but then again in those current fake cuts you have credits such as for Clive Revill's voice acting which can not be heard... so I guess it's not that important, it's beta versions for sale afterall.

Yeah, like Jack Klaff (Red Four: John. D). He's credited, but he only says "I'm Hit!"

Remember as the article points out and as Ady's comparison shows, the kit is only the base. It takes a lot of work to get it looking like the Walkers in the films.

But still, the model (not adywan's fixed version) looks very best. The best one've I seen since the first one ever came out. Let's see, that was about 33 years ago. After searching this long, we've actually have one that almost resembles the film's model.

How much did the original model cost, an where did it come from? I would like to know.
I believe it's one of these: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/ratat.htm

I think I'm going to buy it. I have one of the old Kenner AT-AT, but this starship modeler just kicks butt. The one thing I find funny on the webpage is the size label: "A matter of some debate".

My problem with the original Wampa scene is that it's a lot less effective without any of the rest of the Wampa footage. Instead of a constant, creepy and mysterious menace on Hoth, we just get two scenes of something we never see. It's rather unsatisfactory and ruins the intended effect.
I think of it like the swamp creature that eats R2. It's just a danger of alien planets, not a plot point.
