I Hope that they make a Boba Fett costume and film some extra scenes with him.

I'd still like him to die on tattooine but I would not mind seeing him before tattooine either like on the deathstar or on an imperial cruiser or something... but only if that is for plot reasons not just for the sake of it

Yeah, that's a very very very good idea. Boba Fett fans just can't get enough. What, we see him for a total of about 10 minutes in V and VI.

I watch the interview here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1x4AtaH6Uf8, and i have a question. At 7:15, something is said about Luke's head, be spin, and a trampoline. What are they talking about. It's revealed that's on the wide screen. Can someone provide a picture of this?

I think the issue people had with Boba's death is not the finality of it, but the fact that it's death by slapstick.

All the more reason to give him a more serious and definitive death.

Lucas said that he would have given Boba a bigger death scene if he was going to know how popular he would become.

Well if you look frame by frame at the shot you will see that as luke jumps across luke actually has the the stunt saber with short blade that was used during filming so it would make sense that it was ignited. Something for me to think about for my edit i guess.

I don't think that Luke should have the sith eyes though. He never turned to the dark side so wouldn't have had them.

Yeah I have always noticed that he was using the stunt saber. I am glad that you check out this thread. I thought this would be a good place to generate ideas. About the Sith eyes. I thought it would be cool because he was full of so much anger when he was beating down on vader. Then when he realizes what he is becoming he takes that deep breath. I always imagined it would look cool for him to have those eyes because he was giving in to the dark side. It would be cool to see that and then see him realize what he is doing and have those eyes fade away as he took that breath. This is just an idea i have been toying with in my mind.

F*** yeah! Do the eyes. Luke should have red eyes as he's swing his saber to chop of Vader's hand and when the closeup of Luke looking at his own hand, his eyes return to their natural color. This shows just how close Luke was to turning to the dark side.

Oh, sorry. My mistake. See, I did the reply with quote thing on your post, I had to delete a few things and it looks like I accidentally kept your name but deleted the name that should be there instead. Sorry about this. I'm going to fix it now.

Ady's edit should totally have the original editing to the scene but show the full wampa after his arm is cut off. Does anyone know what he plans to do with that shot?

The force is strong with Adywan. I've been following his SWR edits since it was first announced. You idea is good, for TESB Revisited. Hey Adywan, if you're reading this, hint hint. ;)

EDIT: fixed name quote error.

It's also supposed to connect to the moment in AOTC when boba fett hits his head. I think George wanted it to look like an intentional thing that was cloned into the troops. Lame.

Well, by the time ANH takes place, all the clones are dead. The troopers are from people who what to join the Empire and take over the galaxy.

True dat.

The new Tampa scenes really warm up an otherwise kind of frigid movie.

Yeah. The original version left you to think of what the Wampa looked like. We had only seen a face arm shot, and a little later a shot of the face and chest covered by the arms. Only about 35% of the full thing. I don't ever remember seeing any shots of the Wampa on any poster, or books. So it was a mystery until the SE came out.

Or what happens to the rock in the next shot when he's rolling out of it.

I've wondered that as well.

Wait, what if R2 is actually has Force powers? That means he moved the rock in front of him. Then he Force Pushed it out of the frame. I knew it. The Force is strong with this one.

LOL. That would be funny. I can see George Lucas talking about it right now. "I've always felt that R2 never has that big of a role. Due to the budget and limited effects, I could never fulfill that vision. But thanks to today's technology, I can now give R2 the role I've always wanted. I can now have a lightsaber fight between R2 and the Jawas, he can finally fly a Snowspeeder and fight the AT-ATs, R2 will use his rocket boosters on the Sail Barge instead of falling of the edge."

The screenshots you provide actually have the silly little scurring animals etc in them--but they are not as distracting in your screenshot because they are not moving.  In motion, the revised shot is definitely worse IMO.  Parts of the shot are improved, I agree (I don't necessarily like all of the speeder changes either, but I'll throw a bone here), but taken as a whole, the shot was better in '77.  Again, this is all a matter of opinion, but I truly and strongly prefer the original version of this shot.

Well, the creatures could be kept, but only have 1 or 2. And have them sniffing the ground. Since they'd be used to speeder and humans\aliens going to and from the place, they'd feel safe to just sit there. I agree that the new shot is not as good as the original, but an improvement it was. The one thing I dislike about the original is that R2 looks like he could fall of at any moment.

For the 2011 version they intentionally made it cheesy for some reason.

Yeah. But wouldn't you think that the Blu-ray version would be the thing to restore the original sound? I guess not. Just like that added rock. If someone can tell me how R2 got behind that rock and into the cave, let me know...

The Krayt Dragon Call
Time

So we all know the famous Obi-Wan Kyrat Dragon call right? It's so famous that Lucas can't seem to stop messing with it. So let's see why it's keeps getting changed

1977\1997: The original leaves you having 2 thoughts: (1) Oh, I'd hate to run into that creature! (2) I wonder how they made that sound.

2004: This new version sounds cool, but it basically sounds like they changed the pitch of the original

2011: Oh, don't get me started on this on. You want to know how they made this sound? Take a sound recording device. Stick it outside of a bathroom. Go into the bathroom, close the door. Go the the wall that's farthest from the door, and start making groans (like you have to take a real bad crap, but it won't come out). Now that that crap-groan recording, run it throughout a sound editing software and add an echo effect to it. And you have something known as the "Krapt Dragon" call.

You're not getting agreement here.  Ultimately it's subjective, but the original, while cheap looking, serves its purpose as a quick establishing shot.  The revised versions are far too distracting from that purpose with their unnecessary and silly animations.

Just to make sure, I mean the shot that show the speeder going from front to back screen. Up to the part with the the SE droid dropping the pipe. The pipe dropping droid and one is a big no-no, but the improved speeder shot is an improvement.

Well, what about that shot of entering Mos Eisley? I don't mean the extended intro, but the shot that shows them on the speeder.

The original looks very cheap. R2 looks like he could fall of at any moment.

The 1997 looks better, but C-3PO's arms are is awfully straight.

The 2004/2011 version is the best. Apart from C-3PO's left arm looking straight.

Most people think that Episode V is the best Special Edition. The new Tampa scenes, and the new Imperial scenes are well needed. The CGI Dianoga in ANH was a good one. The clunk sound added when the Stormtrooper hits his head was just great. I never noticed that a trooper hit his head before (with or without the sound). My old piano teacher pointed it out to me.

The Empire Strikes Back Music Cue List
Time

So a long ago, I found a cue list for Empire. So I've decided to post it here.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. "Fox Fanfare" (1M0) and "Main Title" (1M1) is not in the cue list. I added it in just for the sake of the cue list.

2. Throughout the cue list, Williams consistently spells Vader as "Vadar."

3. "5M3 End Fix" is the film-version ending of "5M3 Yoda's Entrance" ("Luke's Nocturnal Visitor") with one interesting quirk.

4. Both "New Start" and "Insert Bar 80″ are present on the 1997 Special Edition soundtrack. "Insert #2 Bar 109″ is a minor tweak of the transition between bars 109 and 110, and it appears to not have been used, although I may be wrong.

5. There is no 9M5, possibly because Williams wrote "Carbon Freeze" earlier in the process and chose a higher-than-necessary number to represent it.

6. "Insert Bar 57″ is the alternate portion of the cue heard on the 1997 Special Edition CD.

7. "12M4 End Credits" was originally labelled "12M3."

8. In "9M3", Threepio is spelt "ThreePio".

97. This is the longer version of the "Finale," with the full quote of the love theme.

Your Favorite And Least Favorite Special Edition Changes
Time

Well, it seems that everybody here has mixed feelings about the Special Editions But nobody really says what changes they like and dislike. So what are they?

My favorite change is the addition of the Imperial scenes in Empire, the ones where Vader walks to his shuttle, going into space, arriving on the Star Destroyer. I have a mixed opinion on the "Bring my shuttle" and "Alert my Star Destroyer..." lines. I also like the Battle Of Yavin fight changes, all those cool shots look cool.

My least favorite changes are Vader "No. Nooooo!" Blu-ray line, The animated Sy Noodles (although I like her "Uh oh" line) and some of the creatures that walk in front of the screen in the Mos Eisley scene. Oh, and Greedo shooting first, I can't forget that.

Special Edition ROTJ Ending Changed Even More (Image Spoof)
Time

Here's an updated version. Padme may look strange, but I only cropped out some of this http://i.imgur.com/JFzYKXk.jpg. I couldn't find a Padme picture that I wanted. I wanted a picture where she's standing like the Jedi. But, this version in only temporary. I'm going to Japan this summer, so I'll work on making a more natural looking version on the plane ride. Heck, I might as well do the whole scene. Bur anyways, enjoy.

Archived:

This is what Lucas could have done to f*** up our childhood even more: replace puppet Yoda with CGI Yoda and Alec Guinness with Ewan McGregor. I made this really crappy picture, it took about 5-6 minutes. What do you guys think?

Your first reaction to Hayden is ROTJ
Time

This is what exactly happen on the day when I bought the 2004 Special Editions (it was the day the SE's came out).

I get to the end of Jedi. I think to myself, "Well Shaw will on screen in a few minutes." A few minutes go by. "He's coming. Almost there." I see Anakin and I jump up and yelled "WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!! WHO'S THIS GUY!!!! DID SOMEONE SNEAK THEIR FACE ONTO THE FINAL SE PRINT AS A JOKE TO LUCAS?!?! ... WAIT IT'S THAT HAYDEN DUDE!" I still watch the SE, but it always looks like Hayden is grinning. Shaw was smiling. Was Hayden actually trying to say "Fuck you Shaw, this is my ending!"
