STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

That was awesome, Ady! Great job!

Was the camera shake on the SD bridge the only change (besides the color correction)?

BTW, I'm sure you're aware of this, but the Millenium Falcon's glow is visible through the Star Destroyer at about 10 seconds into the clip.

P.S. I hope you and your family is doing well.

Maybe there's a way of speeding it up while masking out the background, so that only the foreground gets a speed change.

That would be a good idea. My reason for wanting this change to happen is because Marion just stares at Spalko and doesn't do anything for like 3 seconds, which weakens her character. If this scene is sped up, her not doing anything would be understandable because then she wouldn't have time to do anything before Spalko takes control of the gun.

Although Marion's "Trust me" never bothered me, I'll see what I can do to remove it.

Thank you. I hate the way Marion says it, it just sounds annoying. Maybe if she just pushed Indy back without saying anything, it would strengthen her character without her being annoying.

Yeah, Marion's 'Trust me!' never irked me too much either - it explains that her driving off the cliff wasn't just some weird spontaneous move, but a thought-out manouvre.

Yeah, but you'd still understand that it's her plan because she says "That's the idea" like a second earlier.

Awesome edit, Laser! I think you should remove the "oh shit" line.

As I said before, when Spalko lands on the back of the duck while Marion's driving, they just stare at each other for a good 3 seconds. It just looks weird. Maybe a shorter cut is in order?

For the Waterfall edit, I urge you to consider this:

Marion's "Trust me!" line sounds really annoying, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Maybe her being silent while pushing Indy away would make her seem as a bit of a stronger character? You could mask her moving mouth with a closed mouth in your editing program, maybe? Anything to remove that line.

Here's the scene written out so it's clear:

Indy: Honey, slow down, you're gonna go off the cliff.

Marion: That's the idea!

Indy: Bad idea, give me the wheel!

[Marion silently pushes Indy back, and her foot hits the pedal. Everyone screams as they go off the cliff.]

What do you think, Laser?

I know this is probably a dead horse by now, but Vader's "wobbly" helmet has always bugged the crap out of me too. So, I still have my fingers crossed, hoping it will be fixed. I think that this quote provides an adequate justification for my feelings as well:

I completely agree. It looks funny and is sorta distracting during that dramatic scene.

You know, you could be right - I didn't know what the hell it was supposed to be, but I heard a lot of people saying it was supposed to show her telepathic power. The more I think about it, an electrical charge planted by the soldiers does make more sense, lol - maybe it's the suddeness and the Russian-talking that's throwing me off :S

Well, the soldiers do say "It's ready" in Russian right before the sparks go off, so I guess it may be that they planted a charge. It wouldn't make sense for them to say "it's ready" if Spalko was using her "powers."

While on the subject, this is probably impossible to do for you guys, but can someone who speaks Russian and sounds like Spalko please dub over some of Spalko's lines in Russian? Sometimes her lines are OK, but sometimes it sounds like she's speaking gibberish (yes, I'm fluent in Russian). The other soldiers speak perfect Russian, but Spalko sometimes really fails at her pronunciation, which makes it sound jarring for Russian speakers like me. This probably isn't a priority for you guys, since you don't understand Russian, so w/e.

My personal feeling on the Wampa scene is that the SE footage should remain. I do feel as though there should be some editing done to the scene, but I think that the new scenes with the Wampa actually look good. So many of the CGI creatures in the new trilogy look terribly fake. The Wampa actually looks frightening, especially seeing it covered in blood and eating. In general, I am not a fan of most of the new footage that Lucas added, but the Wampa was one scene that I enjoyed seeing. I always thought the original shot of the Wampa's hand hitting Luke looked phony, so there is certainly room for improvement, but I always wanted to see more of the Wampa. It would be a shame to see it go.

A man after my own heart.

On a less serious note, has anyone ever wondered how the wampa got Luke's feet frozen to the cave ceiling like this? LOL.

It's the Wampa's saliva.

Ever stick your tongue to a frozen pole?

4. Shortened Wampa scene

Honestly, I don't understand the dislike for the new wampa scene. I know the argument for less is more being scarier, but come on, it's Star Wars, not SAW.

And Lucas would've had it in there in 1980 if he could. Ironically, the bad wampa shot is when we first see it hit Luke and kill the tauntaun.

That's the shot that should be removed.

Show just the claw hitting Luke and killing the tauntaun. Wait till the cave to actually see the creature.

If one looks at it logically, the wampa would definitely take both the tauntaun and Luke. There's no way a large meal like that would be passed up in such a frozen wasteland.

So, seeing the wampa eating the tauntaun makes perfect sense.

The only bad shot in that scene is when the wampa starts to slower lumber toward Luke after it stands up from its crouch. In the next shot from the OUT, it has claws raised and is moving very fast.

That makes no sense. Lose that one shot and the scene is perfect, especially if you add burn marks to the wampa's fur, add a little smoke to the wound, and correct the timing of Luke's lightsaber deactivating.

I actually completely agree, and I hate almost all the SE additions.
