@Burbin That could work with sherlock’s crawl, specifically, but not really with my proposed one. It deals with the FO on the verge of collapse, and the civilians gaining the upper hand. With Palps, Kylo knows that the civilians are far too strong, whereas he doesn’t know how powerful or weak Palps might be in comparison to the FO, Resistance or civilians. Palps could be the only other threat Kylo could stop.

@BrotherOfSasquatch How about I lower-case it? Or what series of words would you use to describe the FO being on the verge of collapse?

Also, wanted to mention that you’re flat out wrong Testing. Kylo has seen the throne in Ascendant. He sees it in his Vader mask vision, right after Palps tells him to do as he asks. Basically enticing him to take it. But we want Kylo to NOT want that throne, because it is Sith. He only cares about the fleet.

Oh. I was referring to in the theatrical cut. Apologies.

Your point about Kylo and Palps doesn’t really apply to the theatrical. Kylo doesn’t know Palps wants to be killed, and thus doesn’t know whether it means obeying Palps or not. This problem kinda exists in Ascendant, as Palps warns Kylo about the spirit stuff - I understand that decision and do like it in theory, it raises the stakes… but… yeah.

If I were in charge of the movie, I’d have Palps urge Kylo to kill him only in anger and hatred specifically, and during the hangar scene when Kylo proposes to Rey the killing quote would be changed to this: “We’ll kill him, but not out of anger, not out of hatred. Then we’ll take the throne.”

Again, Kylo doesn’t know about and hasn’t even seen the Sith throne specifically. If the movie actually showed us Kylo Ren himself discovering the actual Sith throne, then I would see your point.

Key word: rumors.

The Resistance doesn’t believe it’s Palpatine at first. Hence why Poe says: “We’ve coded the intel from the spy, and it CONFIRMS the worst: somehow, Palpatine returned.” Implying they didn’t believe it was Palpatine at first.

Regarding Finn and Poe, neither of them are spies. Also, I feel like they have to do their own missions and stuff pre-TRoS, post-rumors/broadcast.

Regarding the silencing thing and preventing new alliances, then I don’t think there’d be any point in wanting to get more resources and make the FO a true Empire.

As someone who defends TRoS, Kylo rebuilding his mask, and his relationship with Palpatine, and understands the story reasons and necessities behind them, I do agree that he didn’t feel exactly like Kylo Ren from TLJ specifically. I propose a new line after his proposal to Rey for them to kill Palps and take the throne.

KYLO REN: We’ll kill him together, and take the throne. Reform his Order into our own, berid of the things of old.

Games you want to see remade

I just wanna say I’m glad LEGO SW: The Skywalker Saga is coming out, since that’s a remake I’ve wanted for ages. Hopefully Harry Potter and Indiana Jones get the same treatment.

Zelda needs to learn to do proper remakes. The only remakes its done so far are OoT, MM, and LA, all of which added little to no new features, making 99% of the difference purely graphical. They need to take a page from Pokemon (which actually has a problem of too many remakes and should’ve stopped after HG/SS) and actually add meaningful new content to their remakes. Here’s a few I’d like to see.

Take notes from Super Mario 64 DS as well.

The Last Jedi Expanded Edition by Jason Fry: The "Tragedy of Vader" Edit (v1 AVAILABLE)

@RL I think that would be too on-the-nose and kinda pointless. And I talked about Holdo and Poe a couple of comments ago.

@JJB The line would also be pointless in the movie since it’s an inference and thus isn’t explicitly spelled out. That would be like Kylo Ren going up to the audience and blatantly telling us that his injury was the reason he lost to Rey.
