True, we didn't have Ric Olie standing there saying "that's the reactor core you're throwing him into."

If Ric Olie didn't explain it, it didn't happen.  That's why only EP 1 exists, and everything else (including this forum) is a figment of my imagination.

Thank the maker that Ric Olie was in the hospital room to say "TV's Frink was just born!"

You're welcome, Angel.  I should only have to wait about, oh, 20 seconds or so, right?

Joking aside, should mention you've been doing amazing mock-up work!

Edit: 20 seconds was exactly right!  I hope that sig stays up a little longer - it's good advertising :-)

I'm surprised that nobody has brought this up yet (maybe someone has but this is post 2565) but as far as I can make out (other than battledroids which don't count) TPM is the only Star Wars film where no named character loses a hand.

This clearly needs to be sorted out.

So who in Episode One should get the hand chop (please not Ric Olié he'd never shut up about it)?

RIC OLIE: The shield generator's been hit!

QUI-GON slices off his hand.

RIC OLIE: My hand is missing!

You know, just for "s and gs", someone should make a short prequel edit where people are conversing with Padme and everytime the camera cuts back to her, she is in a different get-up (hell, even take clips from other Natalie Portman movies - you could have Hayden speaking to her and cut to a scene from LEON, goes back to him, scene from V, etc).

I enjoy this idea - have you mentioned it in the "worst edit ideas" thread yet?

Of course, you could argue that Lucas already did this in TPM :-)

He's screwing around and loving every minute that someone spends asking authentic questions about his "real" edit.

I hate to admit it, but I'm loving it too.  That clip a while back of Luke constructing his lightsaber was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen in a long time.  Rock on fish...

Having said that, using Ady's work w/o credit and/or permission is shameful.

the existence of a son means Vader knows the Emperor lied (from a certain point of view) about Anakin killing Padme,  it also means the Emepror knows that Vader knows he lied to him about Padme's death, adds a bit more tension to  an already  interesting dynamic.

But does Vader know that the Emperor knows that Vader knows that the Emperor lied?  And does the Emperor know that Vader knows that the Emperor knows that Vader knows that the Emperor lied?  And does Vader know that..........my head hurts.

Ha! This is my new favorite thread.

hahaha, yes, I totally gotta agree with you señor Frink.  This is cracking me up!!! now if only we can get some people to bring these "worst edit ideas" to life.  It would be one awesome consecution disc ;)

I'm hoping TMBTM will eventually do something along these lines as he has mentioned.  And you're right, it would be a great consecution!

It's a joke from the American version of the TV show "The Office."

Ah... Please let's stay... Universal !

That joke was around long before The Office......and in any case, it's pretty self-explanatory, isn't it? ;-)

Agreed to both - but what makes it funny to me this time around is hearing Michael Scott saying these things in my head.

Dub in Steve Carrel's voice from The Office saying "that's what she said" via comlink during the Death Star raid in ANH, as if he is an unseen off-screen X-Wing pilot, or maybe he is at the rebel base or something.

Best...idea...ever.

Agreed.

 ?

Is this a private American joke ?

It's a joke from the American version of the TV show "The Office."

Everytime someone says something that would apply, the dialogue could pop up.

Wedge: "Look at the size of that thing!"

Comlink: "That's what she said!"

Red Leader: "Negative, it didn't go in. Just impacted on the surface."

Comlink: "That's what she said!"

Biggs: "Will we be able to pull out in time?"

Comlink: "That's what she said!"

Etc. Etc. Etc.

Best...idea...ever.
