I for one applaud Fox's decision to cancel Firefly. Overrated show. Now if only somebody would cancel Dollhouse.

I didn't watch Firefly and I don't watch Dollhouse.  But why would you want a show cancelled that you don't like?  Just change the channel and let the people who do like the shows still have them.

Info Wanted: Anamorphic OUT w/ 5.1 audio? (for OCP's Classic Edition Trilogy)

You could produce a fake 5.1 mix using Sony Vegas, TVF.  It wouldn't be perfect, but it would certainly suffice, and it's dead easy to do.

Thanks Chewtobacca, but I've never tried out an editing program before and wouldn't have the first clue how to do something like this.  I'm a reasonably patient person, so I'll be waiting/hoping for others like dark_jedi to lead the way.

And thanks for the additional info skyjedi2005.

Rick McCallum: "Everything you're doing is great, keep up the good work! It's an honor to work with you."

Rick....Ric....coincidence?

Now if we're going to compare someone involved in Star Wars to Ric, it ought to be Irvin Kershner in the commentary for ESB.

"The people we hired in Britain were British!"
"There's 3PO, ruining everything."

You're right.  Rick McCallum is actually the anti-Ric, since nothing he says is obvious.

Front page forum link appears broken
Time

The front page link "join the forum" no longer works.  It looks to me like the problem is that the link points to "www.originaltrilogy.com/forum" instead of "originaltrilogy.com/forum"

EDIT: If you go to www.originaltrilogy.com, you will see this problem.  If you go to originaltrilogy.com, the "join the forum" link works fine.

Info Wanted: Anamorphic OUT w/ 5.1 audio? (for OCP's Classic Edition Trilogy)

So I’ve watched OCP’s Classic Edition Trilogy and I liked it quite a bit (despite some rough video in spots).  However, one disappointment for me was the lack of 5.1 audio.  I absolutely understand the reasons for using 2 channel sound.  However, I’m wondering if anyone has done something similar but with 5.1.  Forgive my laziness in asking this - I did do a bit of searching but didn’t turn up much.

if you upload to the plain free account yes, BUT you can upload to a RS collector's account (also free) and it lasts for a long time just like the premium accounts.

From my experience with the prequel cutlists (shamless plug - http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/TVFs-Prequel-Cutlist-Project/topic/10770/) a free RS collector's account item will last 2-3 months, and more than 10 downloads are allowed.

Well, deletion from inactivity can occur with collectors accounts.  If people keep downloading the file it will stay on the free collectors account continually.  There is no deletion from inactivity on premium accounts

Oops - you are absolutely correct and I should have mentioned that.  Every time someone downloads the file, it resets the clock.  And...while I should have said "shameless" plug above, "shamless" plug is also correct.  No sham here LOL.

The Ric Olie Observation Thread
Time

Ric won't be posting again unless he has been pardoned.  It's been over 24 hours by a good amount, which could mean that Ric is in the clear.  But no official word so far.  It seems likely that Jay is too busy with the site update to be bothered with this for the time being.

I'm anxious to hear the final decision.  If Ric were here, I'm sure he'd mention that I'm anxious to hear the final decision.
