Hyped!
Hyped!
I think you put this in the wrong category…
Yep. I’m very interested in this though…
Totally, I’ve seen this on Fanedit.org, and I’m looking foward to it and their edit of 2nd Amazing Spider-Man movie.
I think you put this in the wrong category…
Man, this would’ve been really cool, but It definitely would take a LOT of work and time. Hey, atleast you got the concept out there!
Does anyone happen to have this?
The edit is finished and uploaded, PM me for the link if you’re interested!

That new Landing Platform looks way better! It’s from Battlefront, right?
Here’s a clip of the edit!
During the World Between Worlds-esque scene, I added voices from past Star Wars films to make it even more like the WBW from Star Wars Rebels. Can you guess what lines I used?
I mean sorta, none of these episodes were really meant to mesh together. The show is an anthology so it’s kinda a coincidence that these line up together so nicely.
Here’s the crawl I was talking about in the main post:
I used the 3 episodes of Visions already featured in the edit and some episodes of Star Wars Galaxy of Adventure to create the background footage.
That’s so cool ! Did you already finished this ?
Nope, still working on it but it shouldn’t take too much longer!
Yes, Acbagel’s Legacy of the Force does exactly what you describe and it has a workprint available. https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/The-Rise-of-Skywalker-Legacy-of-the-Force-A-Star-Wars-Legends-Re-edit-Workprint-Released/id/83466
I’d love a link to Chapter 3!
For those not familiar, Star Wars: Visions is an anime anthology that takes place in many different eras and styles. However, three of the shorts displayed a similar trait, a galaxy ruled by the Sith after the Sequel Trilogy.
In “The Duel” we find a lone Ronin with a lightsaber fighting a mysterious Sith lord backed up by soldiers wearing pieces of Imperial and First Order armor. Next, in “The Ninth Jedi” we find a galaxy where the Sith have almost completely erased the Jedi Order to the point where lightsabers were no longer available for the little remaining Jedi. Finally, “The Twins” features a set of Sith Lords created with Exegol-like technology by Palpatine’s Sith Cult after the battle of Exegol.
These plot points inspired me to combine these shorts into one short film. The “Twins” and “Ninth Jedi” are intercut to make up the bulk of the plot while “The Duel” is used as a prologue.
Looks great, the Book of Boba Fett theme always gives me chills, so the more of it, the better.
This is probably one of my most anticipated edits of all time, I can’t wait to see the New Order!
There’s one word I’d use to describe this edit, seamless. This edit is almost completely seamless, I had to check the cut list a few times to see what you did, which in my book means you succeeded! As much as I love Smudger’s compressed version of Mando’s story, I feel like yours will be more of a deep dive while still removing the fluff. I like that you used Chapter 6, it reinforces that Mando has a moral code that other Bounty hunters don’t and it sets up the future with Miggs Mayfield. Chapter 6 also expands upon Star Wars lore, giving us a better look at the New Republic, their uniforms, and that X-Wings are still in play. However, I do have a question about the credits, are you going to add the text later? Overall great work as always and I’m looking foward to Chapter 2!
I’ve finally gotten to see your Episode 9 and I’m impressed just as I was with the other edits, your version is once again my favorite version now. I loved Palpatine’s red lighting, I got chills during Rey and Kylo’s duel, I adored the rescore during Rey’s final stand, and I love that you kept Ben Solo alive. You changed up the ending so it’s not a retread of what ROTJ was, and I aplaud you. However, some things could be improved, like maybe you could move the Galaxy fleet scene up a bit, perhaps right before Rey’s final stand, then have the part where they pick up Finn after it? Some things like Ben’s wound and the Skywalker’s sabers on Tatooine are noticeably zoomed in but I don’t know how you’d get around that. Speaking of Ben on Tatooine, It seems like he jumps to lightspeed twice, or maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way? Overall great edit with some great potential. P.S If you want to give Finn a bigger role in the finale you could use something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/fanedits/comments/uxyafk/finns_moment_tros/.
Sounds really good so far, love your Sequel edits, I can’t wait for this and your Bad Batch edit, by the way can I get the latest version of your Episode 9 edit when that’s available.
Both of the clips sound great to me, the city escape one really put a smile on my face!

While not a deepfake, i thought I’d include my attempt at a slightly younger Palpatine. I doctored a single frame in photoshop, applied it to surface mesh in davinci resolve 18, and then applied a bit of face refinement on top of that.
That’s really impressive and I probably wouldn’t have noticed if it was pointed out to me!
Really? I guess I missed that!
This is a pretty great edit! I really liked it for the most part but there are a few odd moments such as the Resistance Evacuation and the early mention of the Sith fleet. Ben’s death was also kinda anti-climatic but I appreciate that now Leia dies once the fighting is over and her son is dead like Luke says to Rey. Overall solid 8/10!
Thank you so much for the kind words! There definitely were some compromises / challenges in making a cohesive narrative. As you noticed, the resistance evacuation has some odd moments for the sake of pacing and tension. Because Canto Bight has been removed, I had to restructure that entire ‘chase’ sequence, condensing it in the beginning and stretching it out toward the end.
Tell me about the early Sith Fleet mention. Do you remember about how far along? Wondering if it was a random moment of dialogue I never thought to trim. A lot of Ep 9 ended up scattered across the edit so there’s inevitable continuity issues!
I doubt it’s unintentional the scene is before Rey leaves for Ach-To. It’s not a big complaint but It feels weird to me to bring up the fleet when we don’t hear about it again until the end of the movie. But I don’t know how else you would bring it up before Kylo goes to claim the fleet. Again, not a big complaint, it didn’t take me out of the story it just felt a little odd to me.
If the edit is done, I’d love a link to it!
