Wow, those voices are a big improvement from the old ones, and I love him speaking basic for a sec, gives Nute a little more character.

I am working through the Book 2 update right now. The main task was to get more of a balance with Din scenes in Act 1, and possibly make some better “connective tissue” between the transitions and story beats with Boba. So I had the main benefit of being able to get Din’s Sorgan landing sequence in this film instead of Book 1, but I also wanted to extend that out a little more for pacing balance. I have a little mock up scene here (still unpolished in A/V editing) that helps lengthen the landing sequence rather than having Din immediately make it into the fishing village for lodging like my previous Book 2. Let me know If you think any of this works and I’ll finish it up!

Honestly this works pretty well, sure some of the AI is a little lifeless but I think the lines work well. It gives the story a little more room to breath and helps better explain why Mando is on the planet and how he got to the village. The only thing that weirded me out was the changing aspect ratio but that was probably just to hide something I can’t remember off screen.

Great stuff as always Acbagel, it’s surprising how well the Pirate battle works as a finale for the movie! Loved how everything was put together, especially Din fighting the pirates on his first flight in his N1. The ending was great, and I loved how the music flowed into the credits. I’m really excited for Book 6!
I’m real excited for the next chapter the other 4 where amazing, and the definitive version of Mando’s story (in my opinion.) Of course if you can’t release it this weekend that’s fine, take your time, enjoy the time with your family!

The new final duel planet has to be my favorite change, makes it feel much more Star Wars in my opinion. The cool part is, I might’ve had a small part in that idea, because I did suggest to him the idea of having a blue lava planet.

Book 2 was already great but these updates make it sound even better!
The episodes I’ve seen have definitely been my favorite way of watching Mando content so it will be fun to watch the updated versions before Season 3 comes out.
Are you updating how the lightsabers look too including giving them the lighting the lightsabers have in sequel trilogy?
Clone Wars lightsabers already do that though…
To keep continuity between the PT and OT, Luke should have a padawan rattail from the second half of ANH until ROTJ.
Then Yoda cuts it off with his Lightsaber before he dies.
I can’t wait for this, I’ve seen edits that fix all the other Bat Films but none that really attempt anything with this one.
