Sending DVD's to a T.V. Station for airing?
Time
yeah, that'd be the thing to do gundark. I just didn't get it at first, but i've had time to think about it and ask around. It's not a common thing in the US TV stations but it is in third world countries and some small stations, it is used a lot. In terms of quality, the current compression alogorithims used are not suitable for professionals to say it's okay. Once we have better compression schemes, and HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, then it'll start to become exceptable to professionals. It's coming, but it's not a good idea at this point, not when you have the option of going with a pro level tape format.

Have any of you ever heard of sending a Television station a DVD for broadcast airing? This producer that i met today and will probably be working with wants to do this and it doesn't make sense with my training from a well-known Television school. Anyone who works in the idustry who can give me the 411 on this thing? Please Help!! any advice will be much appreciated!

The Time Draws Nigh...
Time
I wonder how he expects to keep the budget for a live action star wars tv show at a minimum with the way he does CG. I don't think I'll be going to see ROTS until the weekend sometime. There's a comic con that same weekend and I want to go to that first. Besides, I gotta be at work to see what this TV engineer actually wants to do to this place that I work at. I need to be sure this guy actually knows his stuff. This is for a Church and let me just tell ya, these people in particular aren't very practical at times. And you need to be practical when it comes to this stuff!

Comics Fans
Time
been a comic fan almost my whole life. my first experience with comics was finding spider man number 1 at my grandma's house! I remember that I wasn't at reading age at the time, but I instantly fell in love with the visuals. I also developed a strong respect for it at that early age. Been reading ever since. Kinda on an on again off again pace though. Two of my best friends are comic writers and artists. You might have heard of them, Matt and Mike Cossin. They've done pencil and color work for G.I. Joe and some other books. They are working on some really cool stuff right now!

To answer your questions:
anything Spiderman
I've loved spidey and dark knight returns was really great back in the day. daredevil was pretty good
Brian Micheal Bendis and Miller before he went nuts with DKII
Mark Bagley

And I have read 300... It was good visually, but I've seen the story before.

Different chronology for the prequels
Time
i remember reading something along these lines when I first read return of the jedi. Obi-wan explains how he meet Anakin and how he became darth vader. He went through alot more than he did in the movie. This timeline fits what he said in the book alot more than what Gl is passing as the prequel "story" at the present time. Hopefully, he sees the light and desides to redo the prequels the right way rather than messing with the OT yet again.
