As for ROTJ, I agree with the last couple posts. The emporer and his scenes are powerful enough to get me to keep coming back to the movie. As a whole, it doesn't retain the appeal for viewing after viewing, but there's enough in there. Maybe in a couple years I'll get to that point where its just boring...I hope not.

As for bootlegging, it appears we have some legal counsel on the forum. Digitalman, am I right in stating that you are allowed to own backup copies of media which you have paid for? i.e. I can rip mp3's of songs when I own the album? So if I own the VHS version of the "faces" release, isn't it legal for me to obtain that same material in a different format? I have paid for the rights for personal use of the movie. Honest question, not a challenge.

I heard Jak has a good difficulty. You'll really have to improve your skills as you go through, but it's not just cheap deaths. You can really get better as you go.

Maybe this is all some sinister scheme. Shimraa returns under a new name, racks up another 5000 posts and then combines them through Jay to take a sudden lead on his unsuspecting competitors?

Or is that just my "explain away the new star wars plots" neurons firing?

Now that someone pointed it out, yes. But I guess visually I would prefer to avoid the busy backdrop during a characterization moment. Distracts the viewer's attention from what they should be noticing. I'd be cool either way.

But again I reiterate; if it's lost its magic, take some time off and come back. you ONCE liked it, right? I'm currently on Braveheart sabbatical, but pretty soon I'll go back and it will be rejuvenated in my mind.

Is "elastic band" british for Rubber Band? If so, I've seen those rubber band balls that people compile. They're pretty cool. And basically...a sphere.

I'm sure if not rubber bands themselves, elastic bands are similar.

(And yes, I realize how silly it is to call American: English and English English: British. In case any Canadians or Euros take offense. It's for silliness)

I've mentioned this before, but Lucas did mention, in Time magazine, using a CGI Anakin, a la Jar Jar. He thought the choice would be so daring the fans would "just love it."

Although I like Hayden, I know that those who don't (i.e. everybody else) can now be thankful for him.

Someone sold "wind from hurricane isabel" trapped in a ziplock bag. It sold for upwards of 100 dollars. The best part was the disclaimer...along the lines of:

WARNING!!: DO NOT OPEN BAG! INTENSE WINDS COULD ESCAPE INTO THE ROOM AND CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR PROPERTY.

But it was better written.
