I have over 600 physical movie/TV releases across 6 formats (8mm/VHS/Laserdisc/DVD/Blu-Ray/4K) and 103 years of cinema history (ranging from 1916’s Intolerance to 2019’s Doctor Sleep) because I don’t trust the studios to keep original versions of films or controversial titles on streaming services.

This. I believe the one of the biggest problems with streaming services at the moment (and what made me turn away from it) is that in many countries the selection of media is measly, Netflix in Australia being an infamous example.

Until then, DVDs FTW.

Sorry, I didn’t mean all genres, mainly 90% of the romantic comedies made in the time, especially musicals (uhhhh) and comedies.

EDIT: I believe it is because I haven’t SEEN any of them.

What I really meant to say is most of the short silent comedies from the ‘20s, but I believe that was the point.

Why are 90% of Hollywood “Golden Age” movies so…average, bare-bones and forgettable? Especially musical, comedy and romance films in that time.

I ain’t talking about Citizen Kane, 12 Angry Men, King Kong, or anything like that, I mean most Hollywood flicks.

That’s what gives it away that you know SOMETHING bad happened to the person.

I personally dislike that popular female singing voice, you know, that voice you hear in ads and on talent shows, or the ‘oah oah’ voice. To me it sounds bland and uninspired. Not saying it’s inherently bad, just saying it sounds homogenous and tiresome to me.

Also, Citizen Kane isn’t the BEST film ever. Sure, it’s plot arc and character development is stunning, but there are way better films out there that trump Kane.

Why do some parents give their 10-year-old children GTA?!?!?

It is scientifically proven you need to be a certain age to play some games. GTA is for 18 year olds and over, NOT 8 year olds.

This is plain INCOMPETENT and just idiotic and parents like this should not be a parent. It’s gross.

These are likely the same parents of talentless underage TikTok stars and angry Minecraft kids.

This is why people should need a license to be a parent. The amount of incompetent parents astounds me.
