If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place

Okay, Apple…

Please stop farting out new IPhone models please, so I won’t have to constantly upgrade and pay a crap ton of dough every time my model goes out of support. How about don’t be a greedy pig, eh? EH?

My Apple Music collection has nearly exhausted the storage on my out of support phone and it’s a pain in the behind to delete JUST enough crap to make it go away.

Also, how about non-bendable chargers, so it won’t constantly break, huh?

I ain’t mad, just disappointed.

Of course physical media’s main drawback is that it can take up a lot of space, another one being the environmental harm since we’re talking about disks made out of plastic. I very rarely play my music CDs these days and have digitally transferred all of them, but having them around means I have a permanent backup in case I lose my digital files, and that’s pretty much the benefit of physical media, you own that physical copy. I wish you could have the option to permanently save your media (music, computer games, movies) permanently to your PC without having to depend on an internet connection.

If anything, my three years without internet access have given me a newfound appreciation for physical media, and I lament the fact that PC games are exclusively digital downloads nowadays. That being said, nothing beats reading physical media, be they comic books, magazines, fiction novels, etc.

(This isn’t a b*tch) I honestly think it’s best to use both physical and digital media both.

I really hate it when people think the 1980s was the pinnacle of music and that 2010s/2020s music is the nadir of music.

It’s really the opposite. The 80s were probably the worst (modern) decade for music, but the 2010s were probably the best. Because in the mid 2010s, that’s when the mainstream started to fade away and artists which would’ve been stuck underground or with a super niche audience have been popular. In fact, probably because of this, music has definitely gotten smarter and more complex lately. Especially comparing it to the music from my grandparents’ generation, which sounds like it was written by five year olds. Not like that stops them from saying music has gotten dumber.

The only real reason someone can think that is a lack of familiarity. Like, yeah, the industry plants of today are probably worse than the industry plants of the 80s, but nobody on Earth listens to Billie Eilish.

Very well said.

By the way, if you want to see and laugh at the morons that actually think ‘music is getting dumber’, head thisaway.

There’s even someone who thinks the 1700s were better than today.

Albums keep getting deleted off of ITunes, which is going to force me to pirate them. Known examples are Star Wars and Robocop, as both have removed music albums.

As someone who recently spent three years without internet access (2017-2020), I can tell you this is why I’m not entirely sold on streaming services, and still see value in physical media. That’s the thing with online pirated media, you can save it to your hard drive and play it whenever you want to, whereas streaming is entirely dependent on your online connection.

There’s also region locking, which sucks like a black hole.

Also, Replace pirated media with free-license media and then we’re talking.

You know what time I think was the best? The 4,000,000,000s BC were the shit, man. Literally, I was just chillin’ back then.

No war, no suffering, literally nothing bad happened! It was the f***ing best and you know it.

Never mind that: here’s something worth ranting about…

So, Windows 10, if you restart and update without my permission, under my nose, making me lose everything I haven’t saved, thereby stressing me to the bone trying to save everything…

I’ll throw you out the damned window with a baseball bat and flip you off with both middle fingers including my middle toes.
