I absolutely adore the aesthetic of early '80s movies. I’ll never get enough of that simply gorgeous grain and the lo-fi treblelicious sound that kinda sounds like it’s coming out of a megaphone. If you want an example of what I’m talking about, watch Airplane! ('80) (or at least the trailer) and/or the criminally underrated Modern Problems ('81). Ain’t the lo-fi feel to it just beaut?

P.S. I know the aesthetic is earlier than that, I just chose that era as an overall representative example.

Anime girls are not cute, and never will be.

On a side note, while sexual depictions in anime aren’t inherently wrong, it’s done way too much.

One thing that bothers me about animé female characters is that most of the Japanese voice actresses speak like flirty 15 year old girls.

Ugh, yes. It almost fits the racial stereotypes.

Fun in Balloon Land is still the absolute worst movie I’ve ever seen (if it even qualifies as a movie) and probably will never be beaten, so it’s probably the worst movie I ever will see.

Oh God! I’ve only seen the Cinema Snob’s review, and even I can tell: That is one movie I don’t want to touch with a stick the size of a football field!

On a side note, I’ve watched IHE’s review of Manos: The Hands of Fate, and I can safely say that Manos is the second worst film I’ve ever seen. Still doesn’t beat FIBL, if that even qualifies as a film!

I dislike the idea of chocolate Easter Eggs. It feels to me like consumerist nonsense and corrupts the true meaning of Easter.

Well, aren’t all holidays consumerist?

Ah yes I forgot. Christmas sales and presents are (for the most part) the same.

I say for the most part because there are some things you genuinely want that can be bought there. But most of the time it’s also consumerist bull.

The Christmas consumerist craze has completely ravaged the true meaning of Christmas.

In regards to both Anakin Starkiller and Eyepainter, I can see what you’re trying to say, and do kind of agree, but with Bandcamp you can download the songs, not as in download as in Spotify download with no files you can access, but actually downloading files to the computer, so even if Bandcamp went out of business (God I hope not) the files separate to Bandcamp would still be there. So that way I consider that I own it because you can access it without having to go to an app or site.

Great movies you hate.

Barry Lyndon.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate it at all, but I definitely think it is much less good than when I first saw it. Like Duracell with Gump, my first viewings were rose-tinted by my now long-gone love for the 18th century, and so I thought it was the best movie ever made. There I smeared that sentimentality all over TheTopTens (the site I was on during my long absence here back in mid-to-late '19).

In conclusion, Barry Lyndon doesn’t hold up today compared to when I first saw it.

Or for the short answer, Barry Lyndon is still a very good film, but it isn’t “the most beautiful film ever made”.

P.S. Speaking of Gump, TheTopTens bot-voters disagree with you.(https://www.thetoptens.com/best-movies/)

Honestly, I feel Airplane is not a true '80s movie. It’s more of a late '70s movie. It was made right at the beginning of the decade, so culturally, it’s still a '70s film. And if you go by the rule of ***1 is the beginning of a decade, it’s for sure a '70s movie.

In short, Airplane! is a '70s film in all but date.

If the BBFC gets so many complaints about Watership Down being rated U, then why don’t they just bump up the rating? Why do they have to just sit there and keep the rating and not change it to PG? They’ve changed ratings before, so why not for that particular movie?

“It would’ve been rated PG now.” THEN CHANGE IT TO PG!

Anybody get really ticked off with bad YouTube tutorials?
I either get somebody with a foreign accent that mumbles more than Jar Jar Binks after he gets his tongue Zapped by the podracer.

Or I end up with a video that keeps buffering and the person in the video is taking forever to get to the point. Reminds me of Harvey Korman in the holiday special telling Lumpy how to put his transmitter together.

Or Worse some idiot writing in Notepad. If I wanted to read I wouldn’t go on YouTube.
That one is so dumb I can’t think of a Star Wars comparison.

Agreed. But now that the dimwits at YouTube headquarters have removed the dislike count, that situation will be X2 worse!

Jealousy is one of the best Queen songs IMO. Nobody ever seems to acknowledge it, but it’s one of the most beautiful songs the band ever did and along with In Only Seven Days (another criminally underrated track) is my favorite song on Jazz. Freddie’s voice is at his peak there, and the melody and faux-sitar sounds are majestic. Lily of the Valley is also much the same, but it’s less obscure.

And probably also protect the public image of massive corporations afraid of people being able to express discontent with them. I don’t believe they did this in the interest of helping regular content creators in the slightest.

Many people says this as well. This is the likeliest explanation.

Overall this is why I barely use YouTube anymore.

I wonder when they’ll completely remove the comment section because of ‘bullying small creators’.
