I thought this was an improvement over the first video, with the only complaint being that he was a bit too flippant about Lucas adding and then removing Luke’s scream. (However, this again would’ve been a great time to note that according to Matthew Wood, it was an error that Lucas never approved of in the first place and that Ben Burtt put it in himself and must’ve forgotten to ask.)
According to Matthew Wood, the scream was added at George’s request for the '97 Special edition. It was when it came around to doing the mix for the 2004 DVD’s that Mathew , who hated the scream, removed the sound effect and George didn’t notice it had gone, so it stayed that way.
I didn’t know any of this was documented. Do you happen to remember where, Adywan? That scream is still burned into my brain.😑
That scene was great! I was already planning something similar (as far as Dooku showing up to the senate meeting). I might have to steal a couple of your shot ideas here?

My original version was done in EbSynth and it just didn’t look right…I ended up having to adjust it in Davinci Resolve and I just couldn’t pull it off to my liking.
For the new version, I was able to apply a photoshopped image to the surface tracker (in Davinci Resolve) and it turned out quite a bit better.
It’s crazy how it sounds just like her! Is there a whisper option? That’s the only issue with the clips you’ve posted…they feel like they’re from another scene where everyone would be speaking at normal volumes.

The ending is going to be pretty much the theatrical ending. NO planets, no Hayden, no Victory Celebration. I hate the SE planet celebrations and victory celebration music. Victory celebration sounds so out of place musically. Williams just basically ripped off the original animatic guide track ( and didn’t even bother to try and hide the fact) and it sounds so out of place in the OT. The guide track was for a Native American mini series and you can tell it still has that theme.

It’s been a bit since I posted any sort of update on my edit. However, I did just make a new video with a reedited version of the fireplace scene.
All of Anakin’s dialogue has been completely rewritten. Now, the direction of their conversation has been altered to emphasize the roles they play (senator and jedi) are not exactly conducive for a long lasting relationship. I’m downplaying the “love is forbidden for a jedi” bit in my edit. It’ll still be there…sort of…you can better see how I’m going to use that aspect here:

Woah! How are you going to achieve this? Not just by cropping the image I’m assuming?

eh…I’m not sure. There’s not enough feathering I think. it looks too sharp. Again, it’s more noticeable on 3PO because he’s more out of focus.

I’d say you’re pretty close! There’s still some halo-ing around the characters (I’m seeing specifically their heads). And the background seems maybe still too in-focus? I think it’s 3PO that’s throwing me off. Isn’t he kind of out of focus in this shot? I’m trying to remember now…

The officer’s insiginia has been changed to make him a captain, as thats what he is in the books/credits.
I also added the targeting computor that originally was missing from the scene

Yes, it is a very ambitious edit. I would say THE thing that works the best is his new music choices. Obviously, there are many editorial changes, but the music cues completely changes the way you take each scene in.
Looking back, I didn’t give this edit enough credit for all it did.
