It seems to me that the way to take the confusion out of this would to seperate Yavin from the Death Star. The Rebellion would fly out to where ever the DS was and disable it. That should be able to finish without a whole lot of problems.

It is an issue of pacing. The movement of scenes need to be viewed in context of the rest of the film. It moves the focus of the drama by away from the Luke and Vader duel earlier and focuses on the battle on the ground and in space. It also reflects the end of ANH as well, with a much more dramatic space battle. I couldn't post the whole thing of course, so I only put up a bit. It didn't show, so nevermind.

Just Got Mine!!! This final version was amazing. Everyway an equal to Deleted Magic. I thought I knew everything about the Empire Strikes Back. I thought wrong. The menus were beautiful but simple. The bonus features were great. Nice to see extras that aren't just like every other disc. Well done Jambe. Nine point two stars.

This should be a great project. I'd live to see this in the same style as the MGM six-pack that came out a few years ago. They just looked good.

I likes it. Or rather if you want to take the changes in a slightly different direction, I am sure that there are tons of forest battle movies and shows, etc. to borrow footage of arrows and explosions from.

One of the things that always bugged me about the end fight in TPM is how Obi-wan just waits there while Qui-gon gets killed. Why didn't he cut through the door or use the force to open it or something. Couldn't something be done to tighten up that scene?

Erik, you have it right. I guess I was saying that it didn't present itself very well on film. There was a whole series of shots of the rebels sneaking down a few corridors to the shield control room and fighting their way through stormtroopers. Losing this sub-plot distorted the real size of the bunker.

That could be interesting. Something that made the Imperial Presence on Endor more of a threat. Regarding sctructures, I think I'd try to do something with the destruction of the shield generator. For such a big explosion, Han got out of it awfully easily.

Are you looking for a storehouse to put a bunch of editing ideas? Well, that could work. I personally would like to see such an area independent of the Ranch thread. Maybe something non-specific that wouldn't have to conform to any other edits.
I'd really like to see a ton of sample clips here.

I put up a link to a fan trailer for Episode II on the Shroud page. It seems like it would be a good thing to review here as well. It has shots of Walken and Lee, clips from Dune and Braveheart and other stuff in it. Maybe some good ideas could be grabbed for a possible prologue as well.

I would like to see a prologue on these Discs, but maybe as an optional intro to the movie. Thats what I love about DVD technology.

I've got that trailer here. The quality isn't great, but it is interesting. Although I don't think the bravehart shot would work as it is in grassy hills.

The discs are in the mail, so you can put whatever covers you want on them. I went with Coov's because I likes them the best.

TRooperman, I think you are right on with the Clone War battle being kind of heartless. The deaths of the Jedi in Episode 3 might have meant something more if we could have seen some meaningful action in Episode 2. If any action is created for SOTD, it needs to include the Jedi. I don't know how ou would do this, but I think it is a step in the right direction.
