Great clip. Thanks a bunch! I can't wait to hear the THX clip.
I think the new soldiers could be introduced by Wat Tambor. His playing with his knob* mid sentence has always bothered me. I'd love to see that replaced.
I've blogged on this "cleanflicks" trend thing before. I'm not really symphathetic towards this whole trend of making money renting out altered versions of other people's films, but on the other hand, I understand wanting to see a film with some of the smut and violence toned down a bit. But that's a personal choice. What I don't understand is why Hollywood is so fond of tinkering their own DVD releases with "un-censored, un-cut and un-rated" extended versions, disrupting the flow of the final edit with tacked on footage, but won't experiment with their own "cleanflicks" edit. Why can't it work both ways?
I'd bet that they won't sue for a fan edit or spoof unless it is demeaning, pornographic or otherwise offensive. Or you are making money off of it. I can't speak for Sony Classical, though. Besides, odds are that you would get a cease and desist order first before any other litigation.

It's, uh, mostly done. I'll take some swats at it later this week.
As for the posting, it needs to look like this:
(Anyone have any idea how many steps I had to do this? Way too many!)
There are those who believe that life here, began out there, far across the universe with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians or the Toltecs or the Mayans. Some believe that even now there are brothers of man who even now fight to survive somewhere among the heavens.
And for the record, I thought the series was pretty cool.
It's funny, I sort of like it in PAL. Although I'm in NTSC lad, the 4% speed increase makes the parts of the film he hasn't edited seem new. And true, right behind the Darth Editous edition of Empire, I can't wait for the treatment of Jedi.
Sometimes I can sneak a joke in once in a while. But while we are on the subject of imandix, I've curious to see if anyone would be interested in a "Whats on your shelf?" thread. Half the fun of these preservation projects is showing them off. It might be interesting to see what people are housing their edits in. Or maybe I just have a desire to peer into everybody's living rooms.

It also works for Swedish and Norwegian covers as well.
I remember that. It was on the A Musical Journey. I don't think Ian was doing his Palpatine voice then, but it might be worth a look. Or a listen. Whatever.
I'm going to dig around on a few other forums (like Muppet Central) and see what I can dig up. Meanwhile, if there is a favorite bit anyone would like to see, post it here and I'll see what I can do.
at least 40 or so within the first 10 years. I think with any kind of DVD project, I'd like to see not the shows necessarily preserved themselves, but rather some of the best bits, like the various alphabet and number cartoons and the skits by the various muppets. The only problem with preserving the episodes themselves is that they often repeat material over and over in the shows.
