The word on the street is that the Re-Cobbled edit is done. I had never had heard of this film, but the parts of this thread that discuss it have me curious. I can't wait to see it. Does he have disc and cover art available?

That's funny. It makes us look like a small minority. I laughed when they said the main thing was to make the OFFICIAL ones available (I know both the 04 and 05 sets are still abundant at least here where I am at) as well as the old ones that some of the fans wanted as well.

Anyway, I've already got the money set aside. I can't wait. Especially if we really get the pre-ANH version. Boo yah.

I had an idea about the editing of Darth Maul and General Grievous kind of thing. You know the one. It would be interesting to rework the opera scene in ROTS to instead explain how the dark side was able to keep Grievous alive. Or something.

Hey, ya'll, I was just stepping back this week and watching all the hub-bub over what really boils down to six movies. It got me thinking about this whole phenom that is Star Wars and I was wondering if any other film or TV series is as hotly debated. Now I don't really care much for movies or TV, and I'm not all Hollywood savvy, but do any of you folks know if any other movies are as tinkered around with, re-released as often, or just plain have the ability to totally enrage and be embraced as the Star Wars series?

The 5 Star set isn't too shabby. Until I make my own (or depending on how Darth Editous's turns out) the 5 star set is the version I watch.

Tis true. besides, it seems that Darth Editous isn't about changing the plot of the movie, but rather cleaning up bad effects and bloopers and the like. Not that I can speak for the awesome DE. I'd love to see talk of the Battle of Hoth in the Starkiller Ranch thread.

While we are on the subject of comps, the Special Editions fixed most of the transparent speeder cockpit shots, but not all. Would you be able to matte over the fixed shots on to the scenes that were still transparent?
