Sluggo's Star Wars Trailer Contest *Next contest begins April 25th*
Time
Yeah. I hope to get as much official stuffs on there as I can. SE's, the prequels, the whole shooting match. But it will be divided among classic and prequel so if you aren't a prequel fan, you can only watch the classic trailers. Once the contest is done, I am going to do a demo disc to have a select group preview (I'm still learning the ropes) before I make the final one.

Yup. The Making of.. LD's are new captures and the other discs have lots of other goodies.

I shipped out the usenet (or torrent or whatever) to MoveAlong and the PiF chain one to Erik today. So it won't be long now.

Damn I missed this one... I like making trailers. And it could have been my first SW project ever.
But not in two days. Not with my current schedule of work. Pity. Next time.

I have it on good authority that there will be another contest later this year.

And thanks for sharing those Adywan. Mighty kind of ya.

Info Wanted: Did anyone do a preservation of the 'Behind the Magic' DVD?

What would be really cool is to process the Behind the Magic cut scenes with Live Feed's software. Live Feed is a ground-breaking application that can take old kinescopes at 24 frames a second and create 30 frames a second video. The results are supposed to be amazing. The new Elvis / Sullivan set utilized this technology. By doing this it gives the shows a "video look"... kinda like the difference between watching a soap opera and a movie... a more "live" feeling.

It looks like the clips on the Magic CD are about 15 frames a second... perhaps Live Feed could give it a make-over.

This isn't a bad idea. While there is a lot of video on the BTM discs, a lot of it is clips from the trilogy, so these could be imported into the project quite easily.
