The sticky-out bit is in the comparison shots, Obi-wan is just standing floating in front of it.

Here's a shot from the set I found on T-bonez.  Yoda just chooses weird tree formations to sit on.

I think you mean that they made a raised prop for Frank to hide behind while he operated the Yoda puppet.  :p

TPM is like the other PT movies, in that I never have any desire to throw it in every now and then to watch it. The only PT I've watched in the past few years is fan edits.

I repeat myself, so I'll be brief: I wanted TPM to be good, and I left the theater trying to convince myself I had seen a good movie. The wet blanket of our group was immediate and accurate with his many criticisms of the film. He annoyed me that day, but he was right. That's what bothered me the most that day.

Quoted for truth.  This is exactly how I feel about TPM, and the PT in general, really.

This was my experience as well.  It wasn't until after Clones came out that I realized I didn't need to keep trying to convince myself that the movie was a good one.

Check this out, if Adywan ever needed some new shots of Yoda for TESB:R he should ask this guy for use of his Yoda puppet, superb work !! Mind you, this guy is probably in the US and Ady's here in the UK, oh well !!

My brain just exploded out of my eyesockets.  That is about the most amazing reproduction of a prop I have ever seen!

That said, I don't know where additional Yoda footage is needed in ESB.  It might be interesting as a 'Force ghost' in some radical ROTJ edit.  But that is a topic for somewhere else.

On gripe I have with the PT is the sheer number of landing pad scenes. It's like Lucas fell in love with showing a ship landing in the OT and went overboard on it with the PT. We don't need to see a ship take off and land. be more creative. Maybe show a landing from the cockpit for once...or better yet, cut to the ship already parked...shocking

This is totally correct.  I don't know how many behind the scenes pictures I have seen of a landing ramp of a ship on a green screen set.

We have discussed in other threads the small cut scene where Vader and Luke walk down a shuttle ramp and walk across the hanger bay in ROTJ.  Luckily, the editor of ROTJ had enough sense to cut it out.  The film has too many landing ramp scenes as it is.

Does a completed, edited, and polished version of die LUCAS die exist? I've been looking and there is very little information out there about the thing. I have found video links through google that claim to be the film, but they are all a bit of a mess, including undubbed scenes and retakes, and a very confusing partial ending. Is this just the state the film was abandoned in? Or does a complete version exist?

I don't see what the big deal is.  It is just a German production titled "The Lucas, the".  And we all know the Germans wouldn't do anything evil.

A shout out to the geezas!

In a few months, I'll be able to walk around saying, "I'm thirty-seven.  I'm not old." Just don't call me an old woman or I'll lecture you about autonomous collectives.

Other than that, I'm a religious dumpy white guy who loves American football, hates soccer and likes Star Wars and not a lot of other fantasy or sci-fi.

And... I've been thinking about ditching the Sluggo tag for a while, but I think it is too engrained to drop.

I hear ya, C3PX.   I think this is why I pretty much have abandoned the EU or really anything SW that isn't the actual movies.   And the closer I can keep it to '77, the better.  It was so much more fun with a couple of cool novels, some action figures and my scholastic book club story books.

Snivvians, Ithorians and Quarren?  Who cares.  Give me Snaggletooth, Hammerhead and Squidhead any day.

You mean that there is another place where geeks, nerds and dorks gather and discuss the Star Wars movies and everything else related to them?  Don't tell anyone at TF.n!  If you are not with them, you are against them!

- I've completely removed that damn "Alien Musical" scene in Jabba's palace (Why, Lucas? Why?!)
- rewritting Jabba's subtitles is kinda fun
- editing the "speeder bike chase" for better pacing and action

I could kiss you man!  I haven't even seen this and it is already my favorite fan edit.  So long, stupid musical number!
