STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I've watched the trailer a few more times and I have come to this conclustion:

Adywan can make one helluva trailer.

I realized that the 'story' and dialogue of the trailer work absolutely brilliantly. Sure the trailer is a nice display case for his sfx work, but the trailer would still be outstanding even if he made it with the untouched GOUT or the 2004 DVD's.

In an attempt to get things back to the movie..

Ady, could you look at the 'levatating' boxes and rocks on Dagobah? Most of the time, the effect works pretty well, but sometimes it seems more like props on string in some shots.

Also, the trick the stage hands used to lift R2 looks bad. It just looks like he is being lifted up by a platform on a jack. I guess I think it ought to look like everything is floating on a space station, just bobbing up and down and not so static.

Holiday Special
Time

Well done, grasshopper.

For one cannot truly call themselves a Star Wars fan without staring into the HS abyss at least once.

I stare into the abyss once a year.

This is going to sound totally off the wall, but I love watching the Holiday Special. There is no cgi screaming for your attention, minimal EU invasion, and no big attempt to save the galaxy. Just a small story starring Mark, Harrison, Carrie and supporting cast about the original trilogy heroes trying to help Chewie get home for the holiday. Exciting and inspiring? Not really, but despite all the warts (and there are TONS of them), it isn't a bad little waste of an hour every year.

I don't like these sets. They look cool but there is no logic to them. It looks like George Lucas was torn between making a set that is the interior of the death star or the interior of cloud city. I don't understand the logic of this set at all. I've seen some Fan fiction and star wars books that show the analogy of these sets, but I'm not buying them.

This one looks too much like the window in ROTJ. Is there suppose to be some symbolism between this window and the ROTJ throne room window or is this just a case of George Lucas over indulging in his obsessive compulsions?

And...

Added to the Ignore list. This is all nonsense.

I thought of another change to make in the movie. I hope this doesn't get lost in the pile of trailer comments.

I think it would be cool to show yoda actually doing something to the ship so Luke can't control his landing when trying to land on degobah. Right now it isn't clear why the ship goes all crazy and luke crashes. Do you think it is a good idea to add somekind of flash or some other indication that the x-wing has a power outage or EMP blast or something. This could imply that yoda is controlling the ship so it lands near him instead of on the other side of the planet.

what do you think?

I like this idea. Well, maybe not an EMP blast or any arching electricity or anything like that on the ship, but maybe something like the lights on the control panel just blinking out. Even a wisp of smoke from behind a control panel would be nice. Just a hint of the problem works for me.
