I can see the McQuarrie influence there, and a bit of the flying wing from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Just a heads up. It would be wise if you skipped the front page, and bookmark the forum itself. Keeping your anti virus up to date is always a good idea.
Too early to tell where the big premiere will actually be held. Disney might even want to screen it inside Disneyland, like they did for some of the POTC movies.
No con next year?
We should start planning an OT.com meetup there! About time we did that sort of thing. :)
With all those other SW movies Disney wants to make, I imagine they will be offered to some of those people they couldn't get, or didn't want the job.
Nobody wants to be the guy who screwed up Star Wars. Most people won't recall who made John Carter, but make a bad Star Wars sequel, and even M. Night Shyamalan won't want to be seen in public with you.
Once the sequel is out, and hopefully it's good, more directors will want to play in George's sandbox without the heavy burden of reigniting the franchise.
This deal is getting better all the time!
If anyone is still after that Batman four pack DVD of the original releases, I've spotted it at Best Buy.
It was newly on sale for ten bucks, so I don't think it's out of print yet.
To think I used to do that sort of thing on videotape by staggering the audio tracks by a split second or so. I only had two channels to work with, so adding music would have entailed rerecording the echo to another tape, and dubbing it back to the master on one channel.
I'll be at the rest home if you need me. ;)
As the Apple II was actually around in 1977, it gets my vote. ;)
Thirty years or so have supposedly gone by. It doesn't jive with the tv broadcast of the Moon landing they picked up in The Hand of God though.
The first episode is on youtube.
The two super battle droids poking around the wrecked Jedi starfighter for some unknown reason, bug me. (What the hell were they looking for, someone hiding under the seat?) Could they be either be conversing with the GPS, or stealing the stereo?

Is Abrams still going to direct Episode VII? Is he backing out like I heard a few weeks back?
It's a rumor denied by Lucasfilm at this point in time.

I'm still waiting for the hair dryer thing Chewie's dad was using in the HS to be perfected, so I can watch the movies in my head. ;)
Think that device is only good for watching Wookiee porn (That a creepy old guy who runs the hardware store lent you) on...
^ btw To find that HS screengrab on a google search I had to see some images that will scar me for life lol
Well, I am a Wookiee. And Art Carney isn't creepy, unless you fear plumbers. ;)
This has to be the earliest ad for THX I've ever seen...
Okay, I can see it now. I guess they couldn't get his likeness for the game?
I've seen shots of Paul from that, and it looks like Kyle MaLachlan.

I've always liked that little ship. Maybe the Rebels ship is a homage?

Sooooo... it's yet another Millennium Falcon stand-in. :-/
Would you rather have another universe shrinker like the Falcon being owned by someone who fought in the early days of the Rebellion?
Easy to forget most people in the SW universe don't see the Falcon like we do. Modifications aside, it's not a unique design.
No, I made the mistake of getting an Abyss Boy, from the snack counter and drinking it during a nearly three hour movie.
No, no, the other bald guy. Patrick something or other. ;)
Can't see the image. :(
With Anakin boasting about how his powers have doubled, it actually makes a weird sort of sense he suddenly starts hearing private thoughts. This is going to be good!

As every 3D flick usually has a 2D version showing at the same multiplex, it's hardly a deal breaker.
I would at least hope it's shot in 3D instead of a conversion.
I'd hope for the opposite, actually - that way we'll have a well shot 2D version to enjoy in the short term (assuming we can find a 2D screening) and a film that will sit happily alongside the existing films when this ludicrous 3D bubble finally bursts.
Yes but it's increasingly the case that while your local multiplex will have both 3D and 2D. The 3D film willl be on at 12.00, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00, 4.00, 5.00, 6.00, 7.00, 8.00 and 9.00pm. The 2D will be on once a day on a medium size screen at 9pm. It's a simple scam, if you make seeing the film at half price difficult enough then people will just give in and pay double. I've seen it happen recently with STID, Man Of Steel and Iron Man 3.
And yes let's hope for a post conversion. Then we can ultimately just ignore the 3D version.
A brief perusal of my local theater listings shows the 3D and 2D showings of the new Wolverine flick to be about equal in number and showtimes. One theater actually has more 2D showings. Maybe it varies by region or chain?

Talking pictures will die out first. Talk about a gimmick! ;)
Does this open the door to Anakin hearing what the Jedi council really thinks of the Chosen One? ;)
To think I missed that scene in the theater back in '84 because I had to use the restroom.
Sting was such a big deal at the time, it was mildly confusing to me he didn't have a larger part to play. That bald guy got more screentime, whatever happened to him anyway?
There were actually Dune toys and action figures that came out, but no Feyd in his winged underoos variant, alas...
