Thanks for the explanation Alex.
I hope WB chills out or gets bored with time. It's odd they would even care about an unreleased project, when things like bootleg discs of the 50's Superboy pilot are still being sold on Ebay, not to mention all those complete Adam West Batman DVD sets.
It combines the original early flipper DVD releases, sans the fullscreen side. The Anthology set contains the remasters with the new audio mixes.
I recall a "fact sheet" with explanations of certain things in the film being given out at the theater. Wish I'd held onto it.
I still chuckle at the clueless film critics back in '84 who were calling it a Star Wars knockoff.
Clearly you've never seen the deleted pug attack scene. ;)
I've seen paintings of battles with a pooch under someone's arm or otherwise looking out of place in a war zone, so there must be some historical precedent behind it.
We're getting mixed signals to say the least...
Will those of us here who contributed materials to this project be getting a copy?
Replace or augment Jabba's band with these guys.
There ought to be enough footage in the Muppet Movies to make this work?
That would explain the pounding on the walls in the dead of night, and other creepy sounds.
And just whose hand was I holding?
Ditto. Weirdest spam ever.
The Dug in question looks more like the "Jedi Poodo!" guy in AOTC. Also known as "It's that Anakin Sywalker guy!" guy in AOTR...
Looks like they didn't even bother changing the model at all for Jedi.
That would have had kids running out of the theater screaming!
Damn! I sure hope so...
Another 35mm print on Ebay...
Do 3D films from the 50's have this depth of field issue? I'll have to pay more attention next time House of Wax airs on TCM.
Yeah, it sucks the first reel isn't there. I think most of the changes occur well past it though.
That Fantasia print sold last month. The buyer must have backed out?
Wasn't sure where to post this...
Would it be worth it just to get the Sebastian Shaw shot?
Whoa!
You could also use dialog from The Goonies if needed.
What voices could work for the other Ewoks?
So, just like STID then? ;)
Not as cool as Blue Harvest. ;)
Shooting a movie twice hasn't really been done since the early 50's, when the industry was unsure widescreen was going to catch on.
It might be too expensive a proposition today. Actors and technical people might even want to be paid more if they are essentially making two movies at once.
Glasses free 3D is being developed. Hopefully, it's not too many years away, and won't require theaters to install all new gear again.
That's not too far off from the fake line Prowse said on the set to Hamill. ;)
Would Obi Wan being totally clueless be funny? After all, he does have a drinking problem. Padme clearly took advantage...
Kubrick on Lucas.

And since when was TWOK considered a family film? ;)
Nope, no morbid imagery here...and I couldn't even find a shot of the unlucky Enterprise crew member engulfed in flames when the Enterprise takes a direct hit.
I think you nailed it. :)
Listening to both versions, the end of Anakin's second "hear you" sounds like it cuts out early, or Padme's line steps on it.
