The ship also could have taken some heavy damage between films. We don't know the specifics of the run in with a bounty hunter Han mentions in ESB.

The amount of work Han and Chewie are doing on the Falcon on Hoth, (and the trouble just getting off the ground) hints at major repairs or modifications going on.

I don't think we ever see any rebel techs helping out with repairs, only a droid. Not enough manpower to go around, or does Han not trust anybody besides Chewie with his baby?

We do know he probably recently installed that neat little gun that takes out the snowtroopers. Unless it was busted in SW, it would have come in handy when departing Mos Eisley.

The weird part is all the Kenner versions had a middle landing leg. None of the toy landing gears were screen accurate though. The Micro Collection Falcon, released in 1982, retains the 1977 look.

The "in universe" explanation could be Han has added more smuggling compartments. There actually was a scene in the Marvel comic where the bad guys know where to look, but false bottoms have been installed, faking them out.

Will be interesting to see how the new Falcon prop turns out.

Do you think Disney will release the unaltered versions for DVD and blue ray?
Time

It's really to early to tell either way. There is a precedent for Disney conceding on one point in buying certain properties. Disney originally wanted all of the Muppets, including the Sesame Street characters. It was a deal breaker for Jim Henson, and his family apparently didn't budge on it either.

George has been sticking to his guns on this since 1997, so it's hard to imagine letting him go so easily.

If the Mouse did release the OT, it's uncertain if they would do it right. They have barely dipped into their live action films on Blu Ray. Mary Poppins apparently didn't get botched like some of the animated films have been recently.

There was a limited theatrical release one in 2006 that I think is the single worst butchering in history. For 3 reasons...

1. Anthropomorphic animal cast (Scrooge is a skunk!)

2. Tiny Tim is alive in the Yet to Come segment!

3. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come can talk!

Add that with animation from PS2 cutscenes and you have yourself a film so bad it was posted on YouTube once and nobody cared.

Uh, #1 and #3 also apply to the Mickey version you know. #1 also applies to the Muppets. ;)

Tiny Tim not dying sounds almost as bad a everyone getting safely off the ship in the animated Titanic.

And now I must find this thing!

Soylent isn't a mixture of OTC vitamin mixtures. It's a custom blend. Ars Technica did a series on it:

That was the beta version, v1.0 actually addresses the chalky and such. I think it's an interesting concept.

IMO it's more useful for starving people than SiValley hipsters.

It may also be good for recycling your dead ..... LOL.  Where is Charleton Heston when we need him?  Damn dirty apes .....

:)

Shh! He's the secret ingredient. ;)

So, one would be better off eating Play Doh then? They keep saying not to, yet they make food themed playsets. Is it any wonder kids are confused?

I saw ACC figurines in a gift shop last night. Nothing enhances your holiday decor like a figure of Christmas Present showing off the little friends who live under his robe. ;)

That scene really creeped me out in the George C. Scott version. Do any other filmed versions include it?

The ghost of Christmas Present is freakier than Christmas Future because of that scene. It was very random and unsettling.

"You're a jolly, fun chap! We should hang out more! Huh, what was that? You're. . . you're hiding starved children. Under your robe. Oh. OK, well. . . I'll call you sometime. Yeeeeah."

Scrooged's Ghost of Christmas Future does give him a run for the money though. ;)
