Droid armies are nothing new in Star Wars.

I don't see how it could be done in the new films without reminding people of the prequel battle droids though. Maybe if they were absolutely terrifying?

The use of droid armies seemed to have fallen out of favor by the OT, as the Empire didn't use them.

hang on a second, is that a crystal skull????

IIRC, it's the emblem of a long dead evil despot, whose ancient treasure laden spacecraft certain characters are trying to find. I really need to reread the Daley books one of these days.

As much as I will hate myself for it someday, it looks like I will have to be getting this release, although at 15 quid, it is not that much money to throw away!

The DVD and Blu Ray versions are bad enough as they are but played at PAL speeds, they are even worse!!!

I will also probably end up with the US Combo packs too...

I would be curious if they put any effort into the menus on these. Other studios are doing them as cheap and plain as possible these days.

Peter Cushing's ghost would like to have a word with you. ;)

 Lol!!

It is my guess that, while the Death Star was being built, Vader and Tarkin found a mutual respect for each other and evil.  Maybe Tarkin befriended Vader in a way no other human or Sith could .... maybe even did him some solids ya know.  Then again, maybe the Emperor commanded Vader to defer to Tarkin due to his own plans for the future.

It's anyone's guess.

If you've seen The Clone Wars, Tarkin and Anakin have a history together, so you're not far off.

Well Luke dying would not have to be gruesome. It's not like Star Wars is too dark for character deaths SPOILERS the aforementioned Larses, Ben, Tarkin and co., Jabba, Boba, Yoda, Palps, Qui-Gon, Maul, Shmi, Jango, Dooku, Mace and co., and Ric Olie. END SPOLIERS

Boba's death is debateable. I can't recall Ric dying outside of the Frinkverse?

If we're going with all of those, might as well include the biggest single bodycount shot in motion picture history, Alderaan blowing up.
