Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

I just wish someone at Disney would activate the Farscapestarwarcrossovermattron.

Y'know, Chris Pine as Kirk in that first Trek movie always reminded me of Ben Browder as John Crichton. Abrams and Mindel's camerawork even reminded me of that show, the way we'd fly and swerve through the hallways of the Enterprise. Pretty much everything about the "Numb Tongue" scene practically screamed Farscape to me, to the point where I'd be surprised if Abrams had honestly never seen the show.

Also, just making sure:

Unless I missed something, Disney only ever bought The Muppets, not the Jim Henson company as a whole. The creation of a Farscapestarwarscrossovermattron device, as awesome as that sounds, is a pipe dream.

Correct. They got the Muppets, which includes Kermit and the gang, but not the Sesame Street characters. They didn't get Fraggle Rock or any of the Creature Shop based productions. The insane thing now is the Henson people apparently can't use the "M" word on any new puppet based production, even though the Muppet style is clearly used.

I just made an account at the MySpleen forum. I made a post asking what to do to get the WHIO version of "The Star Wars Holiday Special." Has anyone else downloaded it? What do I need to do exactly in order to get that?

Stop posting the same thing all over the place for starters.

I think I'll start... by shoving my foot up your kbooty.

You've been on this site less than two days. Rudeness is not going to make people want to help you. You already got off on the wrong foot posting that piratebay link in the other thread.

Info: 16mm Star Wars Print - for sale on Ebay

I don't think it could be any better than the prints Puggo used.

This might be true, but since Poita now has a vastly superior way to capture 16mm, it'd be great to get a copy down to him.

Alas, he's in the hospital or some kind of health clinic (right?) and I can't spare the cash...

Jaxxon would likely be willing to loan his prints out again, but I think we ought to see how that Super 8 version turns out.

I'm getting hit by surprise expenses right and left, so it's out of my reach. I would want to see more of the print to better judge it's condition for that kind of moolah. Similar auctions have been able to do this.

Idea: any interest in a 16mm preservation of 'The Warriors'? (Theatrical cut)
Time

It's an interesting artistic choice, (if you believe it was Walter Hill's original intention) but it's much too jarring if you've grown up with the original. The new prologue alone made me think I was watching 300 by mistake. ;)

One of my favorite shots, that long walk down the beach at the end, is pretty much ruined being turned into a still comic book page.

But if it was a set photo from some as yet unseen Wampa footage I'm trying to imagine how Luke would have fitted in. Did he have to do a bit of Wampa shooting between blowing up the AT-AT and getting to his rendezvous with R2 and his X-Wing?

This is specifically why I said that promotional photos can depict things that aren't in the film. Like, not even in the script. Just here's a gun, here's Mark dressed as Luke, let's take a picture.

 Obviously

That second photo is definitely Luke's costume from the medal ceremony sans jacket.

Yes but we never got to see him kickin' ass in those clothes or wielding a lightsaber in anger. Plus what does Luke's personnal firearm look like? I'm gonna choose to believe it looks like this when he takes it from the holster...

I'm guessing it's similar to the blaster Leia used early in the film, if not the same one.
