Neat! Reminds me of the Rock Opera strip from Heavy Metal magazine in the 80's, that had a lot of Star Wars characters doing things George probably wouldn't have approved of.

Always wondered what the flanneled one thought of it.
Changing the voice to match the prequels was a bad idea. Given Fett's line of work, you don't want your real voice coming out of that helmet. You'd never be able to relax or go incognito in public.
In what little of the EU I've read, Fett has snuck around out of suit to catch his prey. It's not all flying around with guns blazing.
Why wear a mask at all, if everybody knows you're Jango's clone kid?
I'm on DSL and it still slows down the loading time.
There are still plenty of places in the world where dial up is the only option currently. It's not like some people have a choice.
Reel to reel anyway. ;)
People who actually believe we didn't have consumer VCR technology in the 1970's make me want to scream.
Why do you need an animated billboard at the bottom of your posts anyway? We clamped down on these things several years back for a good reason, pages would slow to a crawl if everyone had them.
Combine these with an image heavy thread, and you might as well bake a cake why you wait for the sucker to finish loading.
With the exception of members who haven't posted in ages, you'll find very little of such visual clutter on this site.
We can easily deduce from your name and avatar what your favorite movie is. That ought to be enough.
I'm envious! I'm sure Temuera Morrison is a good actor, but I think the SE lines were recorded when he had a bad case of jetlag. ;)
Better keep that thing under 24 hour armed guard, lest it leak on the interwebs. I'm sure a fake one will appear before long either way. ;)

I think this is an interesting idea regardless of whether it's Boba Fett or not, whether it's a Star Wars movie or not. It has a real western drifter type of feel to it. And considering the idea starts with killing off the clone Fett, this would probably be set sometime between the two trilogies. But even if this works, it's still gonna burn when he dies like a b*tch in ROTJ. Although that never really bothered me the way it does some fans.
Unless it's established some other fellow was posing as Fett at the time.
IIRC, the Dark Horse comics had a Boba impostor, whose luck ran out when the real deal caught up with them, so the idea isn't exactly new.

This is fine. Given that Boba Fett as a character DOES NOTHING OF NOTE, and apparently isn't as bad ass as everyone thinks since after a big payoff he's happier to chill in Jabba's party palace than do anything else.
Put a suit like that on anyone, and they're equally cool looking... which is all Boba ever had going for him.
All kidding aside (and you may not have been), but for the life of me I cannot, nor have I ever been able to, figure out the attraction to this character. Cool looking when he isn't speaking, mysterious, and plays a somewhat minor role in the second film.
Yet people by the millions lose their mind over the character. Not sure what I've been missing for thirty years, but I don't get the worship, even remotely.
Some unlikely convergence of his debut in the Holiday Special, the insatiable desire for new SW material leading up to ESB, the sheer joy of getting that Boba figure in the mail, (followed by crushing disappointment that the rocket launcher had been neutered) and the fact he's a blank slate kids could project whatever identity they wanted to upon?
Even Lucas has admitted he doesn't get it. (Because Boba's the wind, baby!) But he's happy the merchandising moolah keeps rolling in. ;)
News to me. Doesn't every franchise have a curse though?
I read in a magazine back in the day that the person who built the Kamelion prop had sadly died in an accident. It was a very complex mechanism for it's time. (Like a Disney audio animatronic figure.) Nobody else knew how to work it properly, and the prop frequently malfunctioned. All of this contributed to Kamelion's short time as the Doctor's second robot companion.
Maybe the new series will resurrect him someday?
The real Boba would have taken his money and left. ;)
If George says they are on board, who needs it on Mickey Mouse stationery? ;)
I won an auction for an odd faded 35mm reel of SW once, and it turned out to be a print that was chopped up as sound fill for the workprint of a totally different film! The description of these reels sounds similar, if only on the surface.

Any idea what condition ESB is in? I've heard conflicting versions about the condition of the source used. Also that it was someone other than Derann that released it.
Given how easy it was to decimate the Jedi, and then plunge the galaxy into two decades of repressive military rule, they would have a hard time winning that argument. ;)
Oh no! Not again!
There are two of these in private hands around here though. I suspect the Cinevision print being worked on has a slight advantage over Derann, but we'll see. ;)
By all means keep looking out for these. That auction doesn't even show up in the U.S. for me. A complete Super 8 of ESB has yet to come up, and Jedi only shows up once in a blue moon. I'm keen to locate a 16mm of the two Jedi making of docs, especially Making of a Saga.
And if you spot a print of THX 1138, yell. ;)
Boba Fett becoming a Dread Pirate Roberts sort of deal doesn't really violate anything that's come before. And it could explain away his lame demise in Jedi. ;)
A new clip was posted at FE.org, so I don't think Frink will mind if I post a link here.
Photos or it didn't happen. ;)
You may not have picked the best site for that particular discussion.
I'm also not a fan of importing drama from other websites. We have a thread in off topic for discussing TFN.
Got the film reel today. My house is a mess again due to more repairs going on, so it will be a while before I have space to set up the projector and see what I've actually got.

The whole back story is dumb. If Obi-Wan had any serious plans with Luke, he would have raised him himself and, more importantly, started his training at the very early age.
I have two explanations for this thing. One is simply being a plot hole. The other is that Obi-Wan and Yoda knew that Luke could never defeat the Emperor and therefore they planned to use Luke just to trigger Anakin's return who would then destroy the Emperor (which is what eventually happened in ROTJ).
Early on, with the Empire hunting down Jedi, the moisture farm might have been the safest place for Luke. There is dialog about wanting to have given him the lightsaber sooner, but Owen forbade it.
Luke knew where Ben lived, and what he looked like, so they must have met before if only in passing.
Arguably, Obi Wan was waiting for a sign, and it came in the form of a message carried by an Artoo unit he pretends not to recognize. ;)
