Yeah, was down again for a few minutes.
Yeah, was down again for a few minutes.
Zottig, please read the rules. Especially #4.
Yep. ;)

It's fairly regular, whatever the cause is.
Knock it off! Both of you!
I think you guys are getting too serious about your petty disputes. Kindly ignore each other, starting now. Or take it private.
Maybe someone could ask Mr. Prowse? I believe he has a twitter account.
I don't think the fans would accept anyone else playing the role outside of cartoons and videogames.
I don't think Ghostbusters III is ever going to happen now anyway. And a reboot would be a very cynical cash grab at this point.
The two kids ask SEN his name. He asks them for theirs, and one whispers to the other he doesn't have to tell him. One responds that it's okay, and they tell him their names, and they all shake hands. It's less than a minute of footage not in any officially released home video version. It miraculously turned up in the battered full frame 16mm print I now have.
I've speculated in the past Lucas trimmed the scene because it makes SEN a slightly more sympathetic character.
JEDIT:And my question has been answered. ;)

So the Clone troopers in Ep 3 are amazingly accurate shooters even with tank weaponry, but by the time of Ep 4 they can barely aim. I guess once Jango died they had to start cloning off of clones, and eventually they all became retarded.
I've heard various explanations for this. One is the Empire is using mostly conscripts in the OT, and their training isn't as good as what the Clones got.
Or they are all non-Jango clones, and not up to snuff.
Thirdly, the Empire went with the low bidder either on the blasters or the armor. Even Luke complains he can't see out of his helmet. ;)
Interesting, but still a long way from the general public being able to watch it again.
There just was a public screening of the original THX 1138 in the UK, and the robot policemen didn't show up to confiscate the print, so perhaps things are changing.
Glad someone here was actually able to see it. :)
Any sign of the extended scene with SEN and the kids?
And here's the tv spot. 120 mb.
Let me know this link works? Keep in mind, this is a cheap, nasty, camcorder shooting off a closet door affair. (And I couldn't find my audio cable, so you can hear the projector, and the film scraping off the very warped plastic reel it came on.) Eventually, I'll get this reel to Puggo, when he's done with other things.
Is one or both of them named Sid? ;)
Seriously though, I always thought toy destroying kids have issues I can't even fathom.
Another two hour outage. From around midnight to 2:14 a.m. PST.
Don't forget E.T.

Thanks. I'll look into it.

On a related note, is anything happening with Puggo's 16mm THX capture?
If someone can point me to a good place to put it, I'll try to upload the tv spot. :)
So, how long before most of Sochi ends up looking like the set of The Walking Dead? I give it a year. ;)
IIRC, Oz The Great and Powerful starts out in 1:33, (and black and white) until the main character actually gets to Oz.
That just leaves people elsewhere who know you're a Star Wars fan? Unless the use of Luke Skywalker is just a coincidence...
Avatar is probably the most infamous example of multiple aspect ratios. The 2D theatrical was around 2:35.
Voyage of the Dawn Treader also caused some HT enthusiast teeth gnashing over the home video transfer.

Does the recomposed for 4:3 home video version of Pixar's A Bug's Life count? (They literally re-rendered the entire movie.) I don't think they did it for any other films, and pretty sure they didn't port that over to Blu Ray, so it may be as obscure as the full frame version of Lady and the Tramp is now.
How many people around here even have your email?
Galaxy Quest reportedly had three aspect ratios in theatrical release...

Douglas Trumbull's Brainstorm (1983) is one for your list.
Down again for two hours, between midnight and 2 a.m. PST.
