That wasn't some keen insight on Mitt's part. Keeping the Cold War on life support helped justify spending huge amounts of money on stuff we didn't need anymore. I saw a story recently on how the Army has more tanks than it needs, and more are being cranked out to keep a factory open. (That way the politicians can crow they saved jobs.) Not to mention surplus aircraft that go from the factory straight to the boneyard.

Deep down, some politicians are grinning like a cheshire cat at all of this. Nobody will question defense budgets, or talk cutbacks for a long time. Because, the Russkies are back! ;)

Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

I never got the impression Mark wanted to stay away from Luke completely. He spoofed himself on The Simpsons, performing in dinner theater dressed as Luke. And he's done Luke many times on Robot Chicken in recent years.

One could argue his character in the Wing Commander games is a more gritty take on Luke as well.

If he ever resented Luke, he's clearly made peace with it a long time ago.

THX 1138 "preservations" + the 'THX 1138 Italian Cut' project (Released)

That "texture" is a freshly painted closet door in my house. The only room with enough space to set up the projector, because it's empty.

The GP rating was long defunct by 1978, so pretty sure this is an original. The '78 trailer msycamore found sometime back fully exploited the Star Wars connection.

Are we sure that hokeyness wasn't Warner's doing?

Maybe he plays the armour of Darth Vader, possessed by the spirit of a long-dead Dark Lord who was imprisoned within the armour when it was built and reawakened when Luke cremated Vader on Endor.

As long as he's not playing the glove of Darth Vader. ;)

I realized the guide needs a small update.  Apparently the 3D version of Chicken Little is inexplicably poor, which should be mentioned.

I know I haven't given comment to the recent Jungle Book (which seems to be as poor as expected).

Anyone have any other updates they want added or that I've missed?

Btw, just re-watched Chicken Little for the first time in 8 years and was shocked to find it enjoyable.  That wasn't my experience the first time.  No idea why, but it was worth a second look.

I think when it came out, it was put down mostly for not being a Pixar movie. This was when Pixar was close to the end of it's original deal with Disney, and the mouse was even going to make a Toy Story sequel of their own.

My Mom was actually the one that got me to watch it, and I was pleasantly surprised.
