A New direction for Lucasfilm Animation

I've seen The Clone Wars movie along with eleven of the first twelve episodes from the series (long story short, I couldn't find a decent copy of a certain episode to watch online), and so far I'm finding it a decent show to watch.

I still have obvious issues with it -- PT-style Jedi, limited lightsaber colours, Dooku's lack of anything remotely resembling characterization, etc. -- but so far the only things I find really bad about it are the stupid battle droids and Jar Jar.

There is an episode with clones defending a remote outpost that features a battle droid variant that is silent and deadly. If only the one's in the prequels were that formidable.

Info & Discussion: Fullscreen Laserdisc / DVD Preservations

The Naked Gun movies all were shot open matte. The widescreen framing on the DVD of the first film is slightly off, as you can see a sliver of the bra Priscilla Presley is wearing when she's supposed to be naked.

Ironically, the filmmakers on the commentary track mention how visible the bra was in old fullframe transfers. I guess they couldn't see this on the monitor they were using because of overscan?

No idea if this is fixed for the Blu Ray.

I think the visual disconnect results from trying to make him younger. It makes little sense for someone several centuries old to look significantly different over a mere thirty years. That, and they used silicone skin versus the latex skin of the original.

Or else they applied the same goofy rationale later used to justify "fixing" the "flaws" of the original Vader helmet design for ROTS.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

There's evidence scenes were shot with Ewoks using Imperial blasters. One brief shot made it into the film, and a couple shots turn up in Battle For Endor. You can guess who probably made the decision to leave it all on the cutting room floor.

Yes, but he had to keep an eye on Luke, although at a distance, since Owen apparently has a gaffi stick up his exhaust port.

Of course he has to buy supplies once in a while. Every "strange old hermit" does. Part and parcel of the hermit facade is you don't socialize much, and you sure don't want people coming by your house for a chat.

Farmers are more social, at least on this planet.
