Would anyone at ILM have saved the original CGI files from 1997?

Ziro had a thing for Sy Snootles. Can't recall if he had slave girls of his own though.
I've said before The Bumble could take the place of the Wampa. ;)
Maybe General Veers' walker takes out Santa's workshop instead of the generator? There's that scene in Scrooged...
That so many internet forum smart asses were predicting this was too out there, and too obscure to succeed, makes it a sweet victory.
I'm beginning to think Marvel could even pull off a faithful Howard The Duck movie now.
Nobody can hold Porkins! He's the wind, baby!
Back at number one again, (when was the last time that happened?) and now Starlord of the summer! ;)

That disc was relisted.

His name makes me want to brush and floss daily.
The preview I saw for Interstellar didn't give off a Star Wars vibe at all.

That's not really surprising - the theater in which I saw Episode I doesn't exist anymore and the theater in which I saw Episode II as well as the LOTR trilogy doesn't exist any more either.
hope you've been well harmy.
LOL, you're post got me thinking...even the theatres that I saw the 1997 SE are gone as well :O
are movie theatres becoming more disposable as technologies advance? before, things use to last for half a century. now, in just 15 years, they can be torn down.
The theater where I saw ROTJ is still there, but it's a landmark, and more of a concert venue these days.
The theater I saw SW SE and TPM closed for several years, before being remodeled and reopening again.
I'm happy the 1984 multiplex in the next town over is largely unchanged, even though they have at least two digital projectors now.
I get a little sad when I see the buildings that used to be movie theaters in my area, and more so when I see the still empty lot where the my childhood favorite stood until three years ago.
I don't think it's just movie theaters. There's just no appreciation for preserving "modern" structures in general. People will rally to save a 1950's style McDonald's, but would anyone care when the last 70's style one gets knocked down or remodeled into the current look?
Redundant thread.
Play nice, kids.

Most likely we'll get the exclusive box set that everyone wants but can't afford which will have the BluRays only. Then individual BluRay/DVD combos then individual DVD releases with little to no features. The latter I'll probably go with unfortuantely because A) it'll be cheaper and B) I don't own a BluRay player. Is it me or do BluRay/DVD combos sound pointless?? If we own BluRay players why would we want the DVDs???
Disney markets to families who like to give the DVD to the kids, or have an extra copy to watch in the car on long trips. It's a "value added" gimmick that has probably gotten many people into Blu Ray, since they got a couple discs before they even considered buying a player. And players are more affordable these days.

Because pricey box sets never ever go on sale these days, or get broken up and sold on Ebay.
Seriously, after waiting all this time, if we finally get what we've been waiting for, we're going to complain it's too expensive to buy?
Who's complaining? I just said there's no need to include the SE's, since they have already been released. It's not like anything has been announced anyway.
I don't care if it includes a version with Jar Jar replacing Han Solo - as long as it includes the OUT, I will pay whatever price they ask.
My bad. Disney unfortunately knows we'll pony up, even if it's encased in a life sized bust of George sticking his tongue out. ;)

I tried watching a few things (including SW) with rifftrax and I thought 90% of the jokes were pretty bad. It only made me chuckle a bit like once every 10 minutes. I still have to try watching the Holiday Special with riffrax though, there's so much comic potential, that it could be good.
I've only ever seen the live shows broadcast by satellite to theaters, and usually end up pretty sore from laughing so hard. Especially Night of the Living Dead and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. The 1998 Godzilla was almost too big and bloated for them to conquer though.
Some of the shorts they've done are as good as any riffed on MST3K.
That's a pretty mild accent compared to some other stuff Hayden's done. I'm betting he gets hurt early on, and is nursed back to health by sex starved nuns again. ;)
Some familiar faces in Rifftrax's new animated intro.
Most modern home theater receivers should have modes for stereo and Dolby Surround. (Which properly decodes Dolby Stereo.) My Yamaha also has a setting called "mono movie" which gives you the effect of a larger space, and another that spreads the sound equally to all speakers.
Makes you wonder if Disney/Pixar and Dreamworks spy on each other. ;)
There were complaints, (at least on HTF) that the animated sequences in MP appear to have been subjected to the some DVNR treatment though.
I'm pretty sure this fellow didn't operate under those laws...

And I'm pretty sure Threepio skirted those rules in the scene cut from ESB, where he rips the warning sign off the door to that room full of Wampas that snow troopers then enter. ;)
