Artoo was on After Midnight on Comedy Central to pimp the digital releases.

It's the last bit of the ESB end credits. Perhaps this is a temp until Episode 7 is out?
In any case, I'm not too surprised Disney pulled this. When they briefly held the home video rights to Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal in the mid 90's, they not only chopped out the Universal Studios logo, but the opening seconds of Trevor Jones' score as well! Glad they never got their mitts on it again.
Apparently they have ditched the Fox logo and fanfare...

Star Wars still has it's Fox.
It's just a pretty lady singing a seductive song inside a VR hairdryer.
The print I saw had the modern WB logo on it.
The '99 DVD mono is very low fi. Worse still, the Making Of doc was transferred from a poor videotape source, and there are tracking errors throughout. All the early Warner Kubrick DVD's were a rush job in the wake of his passing.
A bunch of rusty old battle droids are supposed to be a serious threat? And weren't they all permanently shut down in Episode III? They don't run independently like OT era droids.
I know. Even the elderly transfer used for the first DVD in 1999 is different in it's framing.
Can't recall who said they were going to capture the LD audio at the moment.
I would be sorely tempted if a 35mm print turned up. The one I saw in 2006 was scratchy, but the color was fine. We'd have to restore the correct Warners logo at the beginning of course. ;)
BTW, there's a new book on The Shining coming out next month I'm really looking forward to.

I think the remix was done tastefully. It's not gimmicky at all, nor does it add anything that wasn't there before. And I think someone has captured the Laserdisc PCM mono?
I like the open matte version once in a while, just for the infamous helicopter shadow. I wonder if an HD version is out there in the wild?

Any details about the presentation of the deleted scenes?
Not yet.
Silly rumors aren't just for Episode 7. ;)
I am reading over at the Home Theater Forum that the theatrical cut of the Pod Race is included as a separate extra with TPM.
I'm no legal expert. Your operation might be small enough not to be noticed by the Empire though. People who make costume parts and replica props seem to operate below Lucasfilm's radar.
How Disney will tolerate such things from here on out remains to be seen. They get grumpy when a preschool paints Mickey on their wall. ;)
Making one change now kind of breaks with the "seven year itch" of successive SE revisions.
You can rent the movie on youtube, but $12.99 seems kind of steep.

This thread deteriorated quickly. :/
I think you just need the right bits to construct the word is all. And Hayden's latest movies, Outcast and American Heist seem to be out on video already...

I thought it was exclusive to the Dave & Busters restaurant chain? At least that's what the tv ads say.
Don't feel left out or compelled to get a twitter account. We just felt there was a need to have a presence there.
Lighten up, you guys.
Is it supposed to be idiocy?

I'm sure you're all thrilled. ;)
Did Lucasfilm have the foresight to finish those scenes in HD though?
Now they'll know how long someone lingers over paused frames of Slave Leia or Oola's wardrobe malfunction. ;)
We're also forgetting the actual helmet used in that scene survived. ;)

When has that ever stopped anyone? ;)
