1987 was a great year. Tenth anniversary celebration. :)

Whoa.
And darn you for beating me to it. ;)
I think the long wait for Episode 7 is already taking it's toll...

as I said Ill drop it. I know the truth and thats all that matters to me. Just didn't appreciate the lies
Ok. I didn't want you to think you were being prevented from telling your side.
He's more than welcome to start a thread in off topic.
I posted a link to the Jar Jar trailer days ago and nobody said a thing. ;)
Just what we need, more drama.
If you have to vent your spleen, I suggest you do it in off topic. This isn't the place for it.
Always nice to see the fan stereotype busted.
Going by the photos I've seen so far, there were a lot of women at Celebration.
Sure looks like it.
I'm all for restoring/preserving episodes that have excessive tape damage, (Lost Continent comes to mind) but the rules about custom DVD's are pretty cut and dried.
Damn! Catbus beat me to it!
The hell with it...

Spike's broadcast rights ran out last year, didn't they?
In old Hollywood, one could easily doom their career coming out with such accusations. The "casting couch" was well known, but not openly discussed.
If Gene was the guilty party, then the entire cast and crew of TOS has hushed this up, and even taken it to their graves.
In any case, this thread really isn't about behind the scenes dirt and gossip.
If you're implying Gene had anything to do with her being assaulted, you're dead wrong. Whitney said it was a Desilu studio executive.

wow. after reading this post, I looked it up to see what SilverWook was talking about. I never Whitney had been assaulted on the set of TOS. : (
very sad to hear of her passing. R. I. P. Ms. Whitney.
IIRC, she didn't talk about it openly until a magazine interview in the 80's. At least that's when I first read about it.
Her cameo in TSFS was a nice touch. I am glad that Rand was in TVH, and especially TUC. They should have found a way to have her hug Kirk, just for old times sake.
Getting neck pinched by Tuvok and Janeway stealing her uniform in the Flashback episode of Voyager is still weird though.
You just reminded me of how both mandibles are visible in the Atari ESB arcade game. The middle of the hull perspective makes about as much sense as blaster fire coming out of the mandibles though.
I'm having a hard time thinking of any side shot of the cockpit from Chewie's side looking towards Han. It's possible they didn't want to have to deal with showing a bit of the Falcon's exterior in those scenes.
Will be interesting to see if we get that sort of shot in Episode 7 though.
Will you be able to watch? Would be interesting to know if the Fox fanfare is gone from these as well...

So, series 2-4 reruns are airing on Disney XD in the US.....why?
I mean, no offense to Disney, but wouldn't Sarah Jane Adventures (Which only aired its first series on Syfy) or K-9 (which only aired as a one day marathon of every episode on Syfy) be better choices for a kids network? I'm not saying that Doctor Who isn't kid-friendly, but..i don't know. It just doesn't seem right for some reason.
Also, the episode selection seems a bit strange. Why skip Nine? Why skip The Christmas Invasion? Why skip the Tenth Doctor Specials?
Feel free to discuss this development. I gotta go to bed.
Yet again, Who ends up on a channel my #@#$% cable company thinks I should be paying extra for.
45 bucks a month, and I have sports channels out the wazoo. I miss the days when PBS ran classic DW every weekend.
Modern DW is "hip" right now, (my local drugstore is carrying the toys) and Disney is no doubt testing the waters to see if it brings in an audience. They might perceive SJA and the K9 series as requiring background knowledge of Whovian lore to jump into.
I noticed BBC America skipped #9 completely with the holiday marathons I was able to see.
Well the movie does come out in December, so if the books don't come out until January, that's not too long to wait.
The furniture thing proves that there likely will be other leaks in the coming months.

There was a time when PETA wasn't run by loons, believe it or not.
Funny you should mention Susan Sarandon. There was a Rocky Horror style screening of The Shining done in the U.K. recently.

I'd love to see them do a Star Wars film!
With the Marvel book and newspaper strip running concurrently for several years, it's amazing they never tripped over each others' storylines.
One of the 3D comics published during the long dry spell of the 90's has Han and Luke scouting Hoth for a new base location, and Luke tries taming a wild Taun Taun.
Nice that they got Annie Leibovitz to photograph them. She did all the prequel VF shoots.
