Nothing quite that blatant. Some fellow named Jack Mehoff was often listed as a production assistant though. The teacher was pretty pissed when they finally noticed it, after someone else pointed it out to them.

Someone else found a few seconds of a porno in a box of donated broadcast tapes, and got their laughs heavily pixilating the image, and using it for a backdrop on a couple projects. That this person reminded me of a character in Videodrome just added to the surreal nature of my college days.

But you don't have to draw the same characters over and over all day long for years either. ;)

I didn't say I understood it, but I've seen evidence of it. It's not too far removed from all the dirty jokes hidden in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, before Disney caught on, and erased them all.

It's probably on the same level as office humor. My father and his co workers used to circulate dirty jokes and cartoons in the era of xerox machines and faxes. It would be very un-PC today of course.

My classmates back in college at the tv studio pulled all manner of questionable jokes, some of which made it to air.

Pixar should just do some porn. That way no one will be happy.

Odds are they probably have done naughty things that will never be seen by the public. Animation is a stressful job, and animators do things to blow off steam that would seem strange to the outside world.

I've seen things from old cartoons that were most definitely not fan art.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

The saber (and hand) didn't have to fall down the same shafts Luke did. It looks like the massive air currents affect Luke's fall in ESB, so the saber could end up elsewhere and caught on something.

When it was eventually found, and by whom is anyone's guess. It could have been an Ugnaught or a maintenance guy, who kept it as a curio until someone Force sensitive showed up.

Do you agree?

How do you feel about the current state of CGI? Good enough (for Star Wars 7?), have you given into accepting it more or less, or still bothered by CGI characters?

I think Rocket and Groot were the first CGI characters where I stopped thinking about the FX and simply accepted them as real.

I'm guessing the CGI characters in Episode 7 will be otherworldly creatures that would be difficult to pull off any other way. As opposed to the clones in the prequels.
