That large images in threads, (and image heavy threads) no longer choke my browser is great!
That large images in threads, (and image heavy threads) no longer choke my browser is great!
Which one?
I’ll buy a ticket and decide for myself, thank you very much. Comparing a bad movie experience to the death of a loved one is in questionable taste.
And since this isn’t the spoiler thread, keep the plot speculation to a minimum.

Since you’ve never watched one, how would you know?
What do pants have to do with anything?
takes a bow
I might have an opportunity to see it in 70mm in January, (I presume it will stick around longer than that) but a lot has to fall into place the next few weeks.
Would love for it to be my first viewing, but I think spoilers will be impossible to avoid by then. 😉
It’s been there since opening day in 1980, why would you want to remove it?
Someone would have to dig up an old pan and scan copy to be sure.
I would think you can still make an archival print, even if that goes straight into the vault. Hard drives don’t last forever.
We don’t burn movies around here, we fanedit them.
Id, you’re going to earn a free holiday vacation if you don’t learn when to lay off.
As they were evacuating the planet, the snowspeeders were expendable. It would be a waste of resources to commit X-Wings to a ground invasion, when they were needed to help protect to the transports.
Did we read the same article?
I don’t buy the prequels being thrown under the landspeeder thing. I saw a new Jar Jar figure at Fry’s earlier this week.
I guess we know what a Terry Gilliam directed SW movie would be like now? 😉
And wow, the new forum software doesn’t choke on a big image like the old one used to do for me.

I think I once saw a still of a Hyperspace scene for one of the prequels, (AOTC?) probably on the old version of the official site. (Lucas decided not to steal the OT’s thunder on that.) I don’t think it’s made it to any video release.
Are you sure? The version I saw was definitely not 2 hours and 40 minutes long. It was 2 hours and 20 something odd minutes.
I mean you saw the roadshow version with entrance music, intermission, and exit music. Nobody has seen the longer cut since 1968, except maybe the guys who found the footage in the Warner/MGM vault a few years back.
Keeping my fingers crossed the Kubrick estate consents to letting that out for the 50th anniversary in 2018.
That’s not a John Wayne movie though. 😉
2001: A space odyssey.
Liked it. alot. almost loved. everything about it worked, its only flaw being that it sometimes got carried away with itself. the extended sequences of no dialogue carried by music, while they did work and were very enjoyable, were at times alittle (and i do mean a little) excessive. The minutes on end of blank screen were a bit much tho, although I don’t know that I’d remove them. I give it 8 passive aggressive remarks made by\to a computer out of 10.I actually always read the wikipedia page on a movie before watching so I knew this existed, I don’t think I would like to see it.
You just saw it. 😉

Check out the “exclusive” Star Wars toys.
Making Han a nice fellow who lets the bad guy get off the first shot, doesn’t change the fact he was smuggling drugs for Jabba. 😉

Surely, there must be an old Western where The Duke shoots first? 😉
